Hi I'm 59 had a small umblical hernia repair without mesh 8 months ago I was off work for 3months unable to eat properly and doubled over in pain. This stopped but I'm now left with high bp so am now on meds! Any ideas any one?

I had multiple hernia repair 9 weeks ago. Major surgery and in hospital for a week. Much worse than debulking surgery. I have what I feel is ascites, huge abdomen looking 7 months pregnant. I have consultant follow up tomorrow after being cancelled twice.

I went in for a hernia repair last month and it turns out they did a biopsy whilst there and I have endometriosis which explains a lot of how I have been feeling for a long time now. Any tips, tricks or guides would be extremely helpful at the start of my journey.

I had Hernia repair 2 weeks ago. All went well. Always thought it was Gerd symptoms with it.Then had to have 111 4 times last week with chest pain & palpitations.Medic crew did usual ECG & very experienced crew said I have Right Bundle Branch Block.

I had a laparoscopic right groin inguinal hernia repair in February and I have a right side swollen testicle over 5 weeks after surgery. all other aspects of my recovery seem fine and feeling comfortable just concerned right testicle swollen still swollen.

Hello, I am a 51 year old male who has recently (10/24) been diagnosed with FND a couple of weeks after I had hiatal hernia repair. I presented to the ER short of breath and limping/spasming. Turns out the breathing was pulmonary emboli, but the gait stuff and numbness was referred to Neurology.

had a painful right angle hernia repair and that pain went away but whenever I have a low in Parkinsons the pain comes back here. Last week had a Covid shot and they’re usually sore.

My procedure, together with a hernia repair, is in 3 weeks. I have to decide whether or not to have an omenectomy. Has anyone had omenectomy without lymph node removal? Have you had any side effects? I’m worried about lymphedema.

I went to see my GP recently, and he immediately said that its a hernia. I was taken back by this observation.

The incisions didn’t heal well and I have a big hernia which needs repairing. This has got me thinking again about having a hysterectomy. The last thing I want is the hernia repair only to have to cut through that (there’ll be a mesh as well) to do a hysterectomy at a later date.

So update is that GP has referred me for the hernia repair. Can anyone let me know if they have had experience of this please? And it’s success or otherwise? waiting time on NHS I can only imagine! And in the meantime upped dosage of esomeprazole Thanks as always for any response

I have a hiatus hernia. The whole of my stomach is in the chest cavity. On the slightest exertion causing the lungs to expand becomes impossible as the stomach is squashing them.

Anyone any hints etc on hidden hernia severe ongoing alst daily pain, long story don't want to bore you, having tried so many times for help mixed connective tissue, raynauds, IBS.

I've been on PPIS eg omeprazole and lanzoprazole for about 25 yrs. I'm worried because I started on a low dose but at the moment I'm on 30mg twice a day and gaviscon med 4 times a day. I'm so worried about the long term effects. I had a gastroscopy 2 weeks ago which shown there was no sign of cancer

I have been on prednisone since January 2017…it seems a lifetime ago☹️ I was put on Alendronic Acid which in turn gave me a hiatus hernia/GERD (2019) ...the consultant I saw said he was positive it happened because of the AA…☹️ It has undoubtedly had a major affect on my life making PMR almost acceptable

has anyone got a hiatus hernia and find if they eat certain foods I.e. fatty food pasty etc that it flares up the the hiatus then goes on to af within 10 minutes or so. I’ve noticed this several times .

I'm having hernia surgery soon and just wondered If anyone has any experience of this. Recovery time etc. I have 3 hernias along my debulking scar so not really sure how they will repair this. Thank you Kate xx
