I had Hernia repair 2 weeks ago. All went well. Always thought it was Gerd symptoms with it.Then had to have 111 4 times last week with chest pain & palpitations.Medic crew did usual ECG & very experienced crew said I have Right Bundle Branch Block. Last time in A & E I was there 12 hrs.Appointment made by my G P to see Cardiologist that day. Never did see him but given Bisoprolol & Nitrite Spray.No-one told me anything. I got a letter 6 days later from Cardiologist saying to my G P that he'd seen me & I'd had 24/7 ECG. Well, I'd only had the usual ECG for few minutes & never did see Cardio.only a Dr. They basically observed me for a few hours as I kept going Syncope & pre Syncope. No-one really spoke to me at all? I'm not feeling confident at the moment.! How often can I use Nitrite Spray in 1 day or night in my case.? It seems to be worse at night when I lay down. How do I know what type of Angina it is? I already have Hypertension & am on Amlodipine 5mg.with 20mg.Atorvastatin. Just need some advise please.I am 73.

I suggest you speak with the BHF Heart helpline nurse who will be able to give you a professional opinion on your situation. The vast majority of members on here are not medically qualified and cannot give medical opinions or advice, only comment from their own experience which may be different to yours and lead you to a wrong conclusion about your health. But as far as your nitrate spray is concerned a pharmacist should be able to help.

If I were you I'd follow the advice from the other post and speak to the cardio nurses on here. I recently queried all my symptoms like hypertension and syncope with them, just looking for advice really and they've given me excellent advice from the tests to request and suggested referrals to consultants.

Good luck on your journey
