Can a diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis be made on bloods alone?
Hi. I had a hepatic episode just over a year ago where my liver function bloods were abnormal for approx 6-8 weeks. I was mildly jaundiced and very itchy. I had a significantly positive ANA and was seen by a gastroenterologist who felt certain that I was displaying a typical picture of autoimmune hepatitis

PBC fatigue and nutrition
Hi. I have been recently diagnosed with a cross over condition of PBC and Auto Immune hepatitis. After working for 22 years without a day off, I am finding the fatigue extremely difficult to manage. I haven't seen my consultant for further advice yet, so can anyone help in the meantime? I am guessing

MRI question
My husband was told he has ataxia in brain injury unit after epigolittitis as he lost oxygen to the brain 6 months on 2 clear ct scans & a clear MRI what does this mean? Can they not see ataxia or is he recovering from it not sure where to go from this point we assumed they would clarify he has a percific

Which one is the culprit for depression? I am currently on ursofalk 250 x 3, solupred 5 mg x 1, zyloric x1, and eltroxin 50 mg x 1 daily.
Since my doctor would not do it, I did; I am gradually withdrawing from solupred, and instead of taking ursofalk three times daily, I am taking two, and sometimes one. Zyloric I completely stopped two weeks ago. The eltroxin I only started a month ago and intend to keep on taking it. I am also taking

Hi again, our doctor advised us that in the face of PBC diagnosis it would be good to have Hepatitis B Vaccination.
Even it's a small chance to catch the HBV he says as an add-on to PBC things would be much worse. Has anyone got also similiar advise from consultant? Is there any risk to have in a vaccination? (they are dead viruses not) We've just found out that my wife has antibody for Hepatitis A, so no need for

Newly Diagnosed with Auto Immune Hepatitis
Hello, I have just been diagnosed with auto immune hepatitis after developing jaundice. It's all a bit scary as I am only 28. It's all very new to me and I am not sure if anyone out there can offer advice or relate to the symptoms I seem to have experienced? Unfortunately not much seems to be known

When should I receive my next blood test and what should it include?
Diagnosed with Hashimoto's and PA a week ago. Endo Dr. has me on NDT (1grain and building up to 2grains), iron, B12 4,000 oral supplements, DHEA 25mg, Vitamin D 5,000IU daily, Vitamin E 4,500IU daily, and Fish Oil. My Integrative Medicine GP thinks that I should be checked for all of these in a month
