Cryptogenic cirrhosis
Hello everyone. Because the doctors couldn't see in my biopsy the reason of my cirrhosis, I receved the final diagnosis of Cryptogenic cirrhosis. No medication, no diet... Just saying "we will kip the eyes on it". So, this is it? Just waiting for my liver to kill me little bit by little? My blood tests

Natural forms of vitamin E and metabolites-regulation of cancer cell death and underlying mechanisms.
New paper below [1]. I suppose that many stopped taking vitamin E following publication of the SELECT [Selenium and Vitamin E Cancer Prevention Trial] study - a study that I regard as an expensive fiasco. If someone who stopped had been taking alpha tocopherol, then stopping was probably a good thing

My mom has a shrunken cerebellum shown by the MRI scanning. she has a gait but walks almost fine when stressing her legs. She has had the unbalanced issue slightly from 5 years ago and has become more unbalanced now. She has no other symptoms like slurred speech, rapid eye movements or hand tremors.

Advice Appreciated!
So to cut a long story short my 4th attempt has just been cancelled due to my lining not responding to medication. I have had 1 transfer in the past which failed. Since then I have had problems with the thickness of my lining. I was on the highest dose of progynova, patches, take vitamin E, drink pomegranate

Thin lining. Need positive stories.
A lot of people have been posting trouble with thin lining lately and have had great advice about things to try to help unfortunately nothing seems to be working for me. I have been on progynova, viagra pessaries and an estraderm patch for 13 days now and had my first scan this morning. My lining still

A clinical trial of Niagen for a neurological disorder.
So yesterday while just doing a general search I came across an old bit of news and a new clinical trial that I was surprised I had not previously uncovered. First the study: - Effective treatment of mitochondrial myopathy by nicotinamide riboside, a vitamin B3 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles

HEP E LIVER DAMAGE
I had
hepatitis
E
in Mar 2017, in hospital for 10 days. The specialist indicated I had damage to my liver bordering on cirrhosis indications. Fibroscan showed 15.5 subsequently falling to about 12.6, 6 months later. The diagnosis was that I had NAFLD.

The SELECT Trial, Selenium & Vitamin D Supplementation.
The SELECT trial (Selenium and Vitamin E Cancer Prevention Trial) [1] opened July 25, 2001. It was the most expensive PCa prevention trial to date. 35,533 men. It is touted by some as the last word on the subject of selenium supplementation (& vitamin E, which I might write about one day). However

What exercise are you doing these days? How will you take your Vitamin E this weekend? Vatiquinone (EPI-743) a possible treatment for all ataxias.
There was a post on LivingwithAtaxia.org that got me looking at research being done by Dr. Susan Perlman as she is set to be the keynote speaker at the 2019 NAF Conference in Las Vegas this year, and someone asked about what topic might she be speaking. When I searched for her work I found this

I'm not a qualified Nutritionist but spend quite a lot of time pouring over serious reports from respectable, independent sources. I'm aware most people in the UK are 'already' obtaining the advised Government Daily Allowance of Vitamins, Minerals etc purely through stuff they eat and drink. And 'yes

Natural ways to thicken my lining ready for ivf transfer
Anyone know any natural ways? I’ve heard raspberry leaf tea is one so I’m giving that a go. And also foods with vitamin E such as kiwi fruits and hazel nuts.. Does anyone think these help at all or know anything else that may help? I am willing to try anything! My lining needs to be ready for my scan
