HEP E LIVER DAMAGE

Can you advise please?

I had hepatitis E in Mar 2017, in hospital for 10 days.

The specialist indicated I had damage to my liver bordering on cirrhosis indications.

Fibroscan showed 15.5 subsequently falling to about 12.6, 6 months later.

The diagnosis was that I had NAFLD.

My question is how long can it take for a liver to recover? If it is going to?

Have a look at the British Liver Trust page about Non-Alcohol Related Fatty Liver Disease and see if there are any changes you can make to life style which can further improve your liver health. Your question is a bit like "How long is a piece of string?" Even a doctor won't be able to answer especially with Hep E being a trigger and not necessarily other lifestyle factors.
