Feeling anxious
I attended the AF clinic the other day. The cardiologist wants to fit a Loop recorder but it can't be done till after my breast surgery and radiotherapy. I'm feeling anxious 😞

Artificial Urinary Sphincter? Finding a surgeon and understanding recovery?
I am at the point where, after my prostatectomy, salvage radiation and sling implant, my incontinence has gotten bad enough that I feel I need an Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) I had the sling installed in January 2021. It worked for about a year and a half. I was never completely dry but usually

Has anyone had non-liver related surgery, such as a knee or hip? I guess the primary risk would be infection and types of anesthesia and antibiotics..? Is anyone familiar with this? My primary care doc said one of the greatest risk is throwing a clot, and with my slightly low platelets (130’s

Alive, with thanks: update on nightmare
Thank you to everyone for replies. I'm still wading through them but trying to avoid spending time on the computer. I survived the weekend. Saturday night was so bad that the only thing that stopped me from ringing 999 overnight was the fear that I would be told there were no ambulances available. I

where do I go from here…
Hi all, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in 2016 and underwent excision surgery. After surgery I still struggled with pain however went on to try and start a family. We have been incredibly fortunate and have 3 children (this wasn’t without loss). My periods always returned very quickly

I was diagnosed with PMR in July 2022 a week after having Covid. My pain symptoms have been bi lateral buttock pain and shoulder pain . I never really experienced the great relief that many feel when starting pred. despite going upto 25mg. I have reduced gradually over the time but had a few flares

CLL diagnosis
Hello all, I have just been diagnosed with CLL, because of a blood test in preparation for knee replacement surgery! I have a no symptoms other than mild fatigue. The encologist said this disease doesn’t mean that it’s the end. Some people go for years without symptoms. I am in good health and stay fit
