I attended the AF clinic the other day. The cardiologist wants to fit a Loop recorder but it can't be done till after my breast surgery and radiotherapy. I'm feeling anxious ๐

Feeling anxious

Hello
I am not surprised you are feeling anxious and so sorry to read what you are going through this must be such a lot to have to deal with and I hope you have family friends and support as you really do need it and deserve it to !
It can be hard at times like this trusting even the professionals but they know what they are doing and they know what needs to be done first and what can be safe to be left a little while longer when you feel so overwhelmed and anxious it can be hard to have faith in them but try to because they are there doing what they do best going to make you better and they will
Take each day at a time , each procedure at a time as you do look at it like a path and you have started to walk up it and can see the end to all this and you are getting nearer with each step ( procedure ) you take
Try and accept it is normal to feel anxious you are human after all but you are going to be well looked after
Keep us updated and if you need to talk vent or anything else come and talk with us there is always someone to listen x
Thank you for your kind words. I resonate with what you say. xxThe truth is today I'm having a bad day ๐ญ
I'm struggling, my courage, strength and positivity feels depleted.
I know I'll bounce back ๐ช๐
Hello
I may not be dealing with what you are having to deal with but I certainly know what a bad day feels like and when you feel so worn out you lose your courage , strength and positivity
Be kind to yourself today and I know to you will bounce back and as I say sometimes we just need time to recharge these things to do so x
Who wouldn't feel anxious when health events come along like buses! But don't let the anxiety disable you, otherwise you might find your strength is diminished to work with your treatments. I'm not sure whether your anxiety is about actually having the ILR implanted. All I can say is it's a detectorist working quietly away. I had a very dangerous Ventricular Tachycardia event 13 days ago that had me in A&E and now in Cardiology. The ILR picked up the VT . Without this evidence the hard pressed hospital would have probably diagnosed a fall and a head injury, scan and discharge! Take care and I hope the chemo/treatment does it's job. You do need to focus on this first , it needs all your positive energy.
Hi sorry your feeling anxious anybody would especially if your having a bad day, but tomorrow another day and you might feel better one day at a time, keep trying to be positive . like most users of this site one day your sad next day your angry then sometimes you laugh at it all, just keep moving forward best you can and have a rant if it helps. We are all thinking of you ,
best wishes for you ๐๐
Hello! As someone who has been through the surgery/chemo/radiotherapy pathway for breast cancer, and subsequently needed management for arrhythmias, I did not face your timing issue. But it sounds like you need to concentrate first up on treating the breast cancer and then the cardiac issues. But always raise your concerns with your treatment teams. Anxiety won't help but it is natural and understandable. Keep us all posted with how you are going - we all have different health journeys, but you can always share your concerns.
