Experience at Papworth and Barts
Hello everyone, I will be having mitral valve replacement at some point… I’ve got to have an angiogram next week and then discuss hospitals with my Cardiologist. He mentioned Papworth and Bart’s, does anyone have any experience in either of these two for heart surgery? He said Bart’s might have a shorter

Mammogram appointment - will it hurt?
I am now 8 months post mitral valve repair via open heart surgery. Everything has healed well but the thought of the mammogram is making me shudder. Anyone out there had one so recently after surgery? Thank you.

Acceptance of Permanent AF
Hi everyone Well I have now had to accept that we have exhausted all treatment and I am now in permanent AF. My rate is still high, 100 at rest and 130 on movement for 7 weeks now. I started Digoxin and stopped Flec last Friday and seems to be working slowly, aiming to 70/80 bpm at rest. If this

Millions invited to take part in UK scheme to diagnose diseases earlier
I'm posting this for information - not to promote the project. As I see it, each of us has to decide for ourselves. But if you don't know it exists, you don't have that choice. There is a Guardian article and the project's own website. [i]

Has anyone had their Cardiac Recovery Rate drop, shortly after starting Nubeqa/daro or another kind of 2nd line AR?
Heart events are the most likely way to die other than from the prostate cancer, so it's good to have different ways of measuring the
heart
health
. I'm hoping that my body will adjust to the Nubeqa over time.

Cancer Diet Studies
If we could grade diet "difficulty to develop", on a scale of 1-100, weight loss would be a 30;
heart
health
a 50; type 2 diabetes a 60; and prostate cancer a 90, other cancers at 95+. Prostate cancer with a Gleason 3 is likely doable, Gleason 4 maybe doable and Gleason 5 likely not doable.
