Looking after your heart during the festive season

Christmas is a time where we tend to over indulge with food and alcohol.

This can trigger an irregular πŸ’š rhythm also known as Holiday Heart...

So take a moment to think about your heart health this Christmas, try not to over indulge, and be sensible!

- drink plenty of water to keep hydrated - minimise alcohol intake as it can cause dehydration!

- try to follow a 'normal routine' as much as possible

- gentle exercise or go for a walk

- follow a good healthy diet with the occasional festive treat!

- minimize your intake of salt - to help with high blood pressure
