Heart rate variability plummeting
(see graph attached) I am scared as as far as I know
heart
rate variability is the best predictor of all kinds of
health
issues, and indeed of staying alive!

How many here like us had needed heart surgery postponed in last 12 months? Still waiting? Hoping for it to be in this next COVID lull?
Still concerned that some Trusts, NHS generally not attending to non-COVID life threatening, time critical surgeries as they should be.

Lunch and Hot Tea
Hi everyone! For lunch today, I had a cheese sandwich with mustard and gluten free bread with Cheddar and Muenster Cheeses. I also had a lemon meringue Greek yogurt and hot tea on the side. There were 43 total carbs. in the entire lunch. Really great and delicious.

What do you think of it, in relation to
heart
health
? It is aimed at weight loss primarily, but there is a lot that is relevant to heart disease.

Advice on taking supplements, talking with your provider
Another time would be after the patient has had a major
health
condition, such as cancer or a
heart
attack, as they will often start taking supplements then.

Chest Pains.
I keep getting chest pains but had X-rays for my chest and it is all normal. They keep saying it is muscular pain but I have taken everything they give me and nothing seems to work.

Apple Watch SE ECG App
I have just bought an Apple Watch for the purpose of monitoring my
heart
and
health
. It comes with a
heart
rate monitor built in, but no ECG app. Kardia discontinued their Apple Watch band due to Apple developing their own tech to monitor AF. Those of you with Apple watches, which app do you use?

What are the particular coronary artery disease risk factors from Hashi’s?
Case: ECG reading in a healthy, non-smoking, young person (42) with Hashimoto’s that indicates possible coronary artery disease. Question: What is the most likely Hashimoto’s connection to this kind of reading / heart disease? Background: No thyroid or vitamin tests done in hospital. Most recent TSH

Rate control strategy
Does anyone just take a fast acting metoprolol or Diltiazam when they go into AFIB, vs. taking a slow release 24 hour dose every single day. It almost seems my AFIB comes on easier when my heart rate and blood pressure is in the low range. Thanks!

Has anyone had kidney problems after heart surgery ?
I underwent surgery for a leaky mitral heart valve in September and unfortunately suffered renal failure which meant I was on dialysis, until my kidneys recovered. Has anyone else had the same experience ?

Wishing everybody a beary happy Easter. 🐻
I just wanted to wish you all a very happy Easter, lots of fun, lots of chocolate and lots of love. I also wanted to share with you this chainsaw sculpture hubby did. It is his first project and it has taken him 6 years off and on since felling the tree to reaching this point because it was abandoned

Have you ever used a patch to record the rhythm of your heart at home?
We think diagnostic technologies like this can be especially useful during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing a patient to first have a telephone/video consultation before the patch is sent direct to their home. Zio is a promising new ECG patch which can be worn for up to 14 days. The National Institute
