Needle biopsy
Hi everyone, Has anyone else had a lung needle biopsy? I had one on Tuesday and it wasn’t supposed to hurt just be uncomfortable. Well, the samples were taken successfully but it was more painful than I’d expected. The radiologist was surprised as well. Anyway following a chest X-ray I had to stay in

fever
(seem to get worse every year) - Recent surgery showed long standing constipation even though I had the bowel prep - It also showed no endometriosis (was diagnosed with it 6 years ago), biopsies taken and sent (unsure what for - was not told) - I had big difficulties urinating

Goitre/TSH level
This is put down to
hay
fever
but I have it all year round. The GP will not acknowledge the goitre or turkey neck. How high is the TSH usually when a goitre develops?

Advice on Heart Failure
I've been diagnosed with heart failure, when I'm normally a fit and healthy guy. Cant walk more than 10 paces up the stairs or sleep due to breathlessness. GP has sent me for ecg, bloods and chest x ray. I had to beg for an echo cardiogram (not had yet). There seems to be no urgency to treat me, and

New confused and fed-up!
Hi everybody, I’m new here and haven’t yet been diagnosed with asthma, although this is the route the Drs are now going down. I’m a 63 year old healthy lady, never smoked and have never had chest issues until now. On December 28th I tested positive for Covid, although I had no real symptoms to speak

Can cardiomyopathy or heart failure cause angina?
I spent 8 hours in A&E yesterday after experiencing mild chest pains. Initially I was afraid it might be a heart attack but that was ruled out after blood test, ECG and chest x-ray. Finally I saw a consultant who thinks I was experiencing angina when exerting myself. Six years ago when my dilated

Do I have un-treated asthma?
I also have
hay
fever
and a lot of allergies eg to dust and cats and I've also noticed that there's a slight whistling sound when I breathe. I guess my question is does it sound like I have asthma and what treatment do you think would be helpful? Thank you.

Flue-like symptoms with blood pressure medication
I wonder if I may take this opportunity to ask a question on this excellent forum site. I am an 84 year old male, who has been prescribed various blood pressure medications over the past 35 years. Presently I take one 25mg tablet of Losartan for blood pressure, and one 20 mg Citalopram for anxiety.

Tension or tightness in chest, wanting to take a deep breath
I have had a problem in the past with
hay
fever
so assumed that perhaps the cause of the tightness / slight breathlessness was this due to the excessive sneezing. The sneezing has carried on though until I started taking an antihistamine tablet every day about a week ago.

An Introduction and a salutary tale about Felodipine
Hi There I am brand new. As an introduction I thought I would relate a tale that started a year ago, to help other people in a similar situation. A year ago, I realised I was very depressed. I put it down to stress of the continuing pandemic and the fact it was winter. I know I suffer from winter depression

Hi again, sorry for yet another thread. Hope it’s allowed. I’ve been back to A&E again tonight experiencing mild chest symptoms. I almost didn’t go because it wasn’t as bad as last time and I thought I was just being paranoid. ECG showed same abnormal changes as last time and the doctor told me I have
