After a year or maybe a bit longer, another CT Scan update,

I have heart conditions, lung conditions, joint problems and cancer,

So I would love an easy ride in life.

Maybe 18 months or more I started a thread on CT scans, and did updates. It started with a COPD review nurse wanting me to have a chest X Ray which I did after Dr oked that. I had a second X Ray to confirm the findings,

So there was an abnormality on my Left Apex - Sent to hospital Respiratory dept and was seen - CT scan ordered and that confirmed the whatever on my Left Apex. followed by another CT scan this time with Contrast - Dr was worried about possible TB among others,

Next was a PET Scan at Preston Hospital - The day after I got a call about 8am it was to tell me the abnormality had spread to my Right Apex.

Now I was puzzled as I have had scarring on my lungs for years,

Hear nil for a while then I got a call to go hospital. my original doctor had left. gone home I think.

New Doctor ordered a CT scan with contrast - Then I got an astonishing letter.

It read - Mr Ern007 your abnormality has gone (no mention of the spread to the right) - yep great news ha ha. _ It went on I took your abnormality to the Radiographer and he thinks it's probably scarring - The abnormality I did not have mind. DISCHARGED,

That concludes the catch up.

Recently feeling pretty ill I went to my GP - She ordered a battery of blood tests and an X ray and ordered an Echo as I have a leaky valve.

Within 24 hours of bloods, was found I was very shout of Vit D and Follic Acid - I was given 30,000 caps of VIT D

She called be in to discuss blood teats and then - She told me what I had on Left Apex was now on Right Apex - As I mentioned I had been told that, obviously it looks like she had not been told, can't be sure but according to last consultant I was fine,

Not sure where I go from here but with what I have on apex - maybe bad scarring but I knew at the time, I could not have been clear.

My GP really is a dedicated GP.

My latest update for now and hopefully would need another on this. Seems it probably is increased scarring.

She told me she advised me not to fly and stay in Britain if having a holiday, I was booked for IOM today but in all honestly, don't feel up to it at the moment.

Sounds like the IOM will have to wait Ern, what a shame. I do hope your GP can help you get to the bottom of the mystery abnormality. Thank goodness you know your own body and I wish you well.

Take care xxxx❤️

All rather strange Ern. I'm glad that you have a good GP given the results of your hospital visits. Pity about the IOM but plenty of other places to visit on the mainland when you feel like it Wishing you well.

Thank's CDP016 - I thought it was strange when I got letter from consultant, I used to jet all over even with COPD but now that's not possible I thought IOM would have been a good substitute - I agree there are places in UK, Bognor, Brighton, Scarborough and Devon I would like to go, nearer my home several resorts,, Thank'

Sorry to hear you’ve had so much confusion regards your diagnosis it can be very confusing and upsetting not to be able to trust what your being told 😞 But pleased to hear your new GP is getting to grips with things that’s very reassuring. Pity the IOM didn’t work out, but perhaps at a later date 🤞. Hope all goes well. Xxx

Oh! Ern007 what alot you have going on. I am not surprised you dont feel like going to IOM , but great news that you have a good gp looking after you after all the confusion on diagnosis. The only way to deal with this is to put one foot in front of the other and lets hope the vitamin d and folic acid helps to pick you up a bit. Sending healing vibes your way x

Thank's for that. I chose IOM as more relaxing than what I was used to. Britain has lots to offer though. x

You may change your mind and go anyway, it could help perk you up a bit but as you say the UK has alot to offer as well x

I doubt I will go to IOM as insurance would be void being advised not to fly. I am this time going to have 4 days in Southport and maybe down South of UK next year,

I didn't know what to call myself when I joined this forum. Sooticat sounded too ridiculous. Albert was a much loved friend. Also my dad's middle name.

Never thought of it that way, a female version of Albert, My mother never liked that name, her first name was Lilly which is the name she always used/

Hello Ern007. What a lot of health problems you are having to cope with and now this confusing issue with the lung. Thankfully your GP picked up the Vit D deficiency and that is being treated. Hope you feel like taking a holiday soon. Take care xxx 😊
