How do you guys just accept your chest pains? Had to go to urgent care again because my chest pains came back full force down into my arms. They’re like you’re chest X-ray and ekg are fine. But of course they had to tell me you’re overweight and have high blood pressure so you fall into risk categories to have a heart attack I’m like that’s not helpful I’m only 22. The chest pains and everything feel very real when it happens

How do you guys accept your chest pains?
Things real to me, I have myself checked out. Plain & Simple
Have you thought about asking your doctor for a mild blood pressure medication. I take them, and have noticed NO side effects. Plus, it is a nice feeling not worrying about having your blood pressure checked whenever you go to a doctor. Also, you can gradually work on losing a few pounds by exercising more. Exercising would have two benefits - it would help release endorphins which would make you feel better emotionally, and would gradually help you lose a few pounds, which also might help reduce your anxiety.
Hello Adamj. I hope you’re okay. I’m having the same problem…… my chest pain is constant and it just won’t go away no matter what I do! The Cardiologist told me that the pain is not heart related, the primary Doctors that I’ve seen can’t find the reason as well, and although my psychiatrist has given me medication, the medication does not help me with the chest pain and tightness that I’ve been feeling for the last 2 months!!!!!!After going twice to ER in the last 2 months I’m very close to going again for a third time! So your question is an excellent one! How do I accept
It? I can’t ! I try and try but I can’t!
The chest pains are extremely real!
I’ve had anxiety since I was a kid and it’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. I started getting chest pains when I was about 14? Maybe even 13 and I thought I was having a heart attack, went to the E.R. they did tests and nothing was physically wrong. This was way before the internet and before people even talked about anxiety and I was convinced that something was wrong with my heart. FINALLY after many visits to the E.R. a Dr. asked me if I had a lot of stress and anxiety and I said yes. He assured me my heart was 100% ok and to talk to my GP about antidepressants etc. After that E.R. visit and him assuring me my heart was perfectly fine I just learned to ignore them and they eventually went away.
My GP has me go for an ecg every year with my yearly checkup and all is well. I don’t have high BP so I can’t say anything about that. I’d just ask your Dr straight up what the chances are of you having a heart attack, if they say extremely low it might make you feel better.
Hi AdamJ.. I can totally relate. My chest pain started in April and I went to Cardiologist for checkup. He did run ECG and ECHO and they came out clear. I requested Doc to run TMT and Xray too, he said not necessary but did on my request. They too came out clear. He said that as I am a smoker (5 cigs/day), I may be suffering from GERD and advised Aciphex. As there was no relief, I went to Gastroenterologist, he did Endoscopy, ultrasound and H.pylori test (as my father was a gastric cancer patient). Luckily, all came clear. He then suggested Nexium for a month and told that my GERD is because of sleeplessness and Anxiety. I finished my course of Nexium but still I am suffering constant chest pain. I try to avoid it but most of the times I am unsuccessful. I am still trying to cope with a hope to come of it soon.
So I too wish you a speedy recovery from your feelings. God Bless you
