UPDATE on PMR coming back

I will try to make this as short as possible. I saw my pulmonologist on Thursday and then saw my rheumatologist on Friday. I felt like I was gaslighted by my pulmonologist who said I just needed to give myself more time to her over Covid. However after seeing my rheumatologist she apparently got with the pulmonologist and my endocrinologist and they decided I had inflammation in my lungs which showed in the chest x-ray and is what is causing my breathing problems. So together they've all got a plan for me to get better. First I will be taking 40 mg pred to deal with the inflammation In my lungs then I will drop down to 15 mg to continue treating my PMR. And depending on my symptoms will depend on when/and how I will taper down to to the small dose of hydrocortisone I was taking for my adrenal insufficiency. This is going to be complicated but at least she's willing to treat my PMR with steroids. I'm looking forward to feeling better.

Glad you got SOME answers. Hope this all works and glad you are feeling good about it. I suspect that prednisone dose will do the trick and you will quickly be better!
