More Heartache caused by MSA
My lovely husband had a catheter fitted in December , I was slightly worried about it but it was a great success . He had his first change last Friday . Everything seemed different this time . It caused him more pain and discomfort and on Saturday morning he had some discharge and a small amount of watery

How do people cope with light sensitivity?
In the evenings I have to have lights switched off and sit in the dark. I do have light blocker glasses but only help minutely. It's very irritating for my family. Any help appreciated

Been a while! (Darn ice!)
Today was an exciting day! It had been a while since my last run due to the crazy weather! I wanted to run regardless but when I went out with my dog I found the snow was far too deep and where it wasn’t we were skidding all over the place on the ice so I decided it’d be best to wait to avoid injury!

High IOP, bad floaters and possible Glaucoma at 33, absolutely terrified
Hi, I am 33 and for the last year I noticed the onset of floaters in both eyes, which slowly worsened throughout 2020 and now appear like dirty washing water tumbling around. I went for a full check up and during this check I was told that there was no indication of retinal issues, but I was slammed

Covid vaccine
Hi everyone Just wanted to say that I've had my covid vaccine on Sunday. Slightly sore arm for a couple of days and my secondary Sjogren's was triggered a couple of hours afterwards. In particular, extremely dry mouth and subsequently, drinking water as though it was on the verge of becoming extinct

No injection again
I have been going for injections for about 2 years now for diabetic macular oedema. Just under a year ago I was changed from Lucentis to Eylea. Since then I have been having appointments every 2 months. When I went for my appointment in November I was told that my eyes had stabilised and so I didn’t

How long can you take meds?
hello everybody. I’ve been taking 40 mg of carbimazol and 100mg of levotheroxin as my bock and replace therapy for Grave’s disease for about 4 years. My levels kind of stable and “in range”. But the endo is constantly bringing the question that I had to stop all meds. I don’t agree with that as I know

EYLEA AND DARKENING VISION
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you All, I hope it brings us luck. Question for anyone who has received Eylea injections, I have had three loading doses and saw improvement in the distortion in vision in my right eye. I have not needed further injectons for approx 6 months as there is no suspicious activity. However

5w+3 and very little symptoms
Back in November I previously suffered a MMC at 4+6 after a frozen transfer, however today I’m 5+3, after transferring 2 embryos, but I have very few symptoms. I have had cramping, but that’s tailed off. I do have sore boobs, but is that down to the combination of progynova, cyclogest and lubion? I also

Question about covid vaccine for uncontrolled asthma
Hi guys, This is my first post so sorry if this has been asked several times (which it probably has been recently!) I know there is loads of uncertainty regarding asthmatics getting the jab but if you could give me some advice that would be great? First off, I live in Northern Ireland and apparently

End Stage wet AMD
I have had great results for 12 years with injections in my left eye. I have had Eyelea and Avastin and Lucentis. Currently on Lucentis and my vision was 20/25 2 weeks ago. I developed wet AMD in my right eye a year ago. I agreed to participate in a clinical trial for either Lucentis or Avastin.

Mid to upper back ache
Hi I have been diagnosed with ibs this week. One of my symptoms is a knawing back ache. I was wondering if anyone else gets this. It almost feels like it’s it’s being eaten away and feels very stiff. It is located mainly in the area of my lungs. I have an appointment for a chest X-ray in 33 weeks.

hello, perhaps someone can help. I am at my wits end. one and a half years ago i suddenly got huge damage in left eye which was diagnosed as myopic macular degeneration late stage. Despite Avastin injections it slowly worsened and after changing to Eylea it continues to slowly worsen. 2 months
