First Video Rheumy Appointment on Monday
I haven't seen the Rheumatologist since last year, so I am probably due for a consult. I have a 1.5 hour drive to attend the Rheumy clinic, so if the video appointment works, it will be a relief. How do they do a DAS though, taking my word for 'I don't have any joint tenderness or swelling' probably

Anesthetic eyedrops vs anesthetic injections
I recently started monthly eyelea injections in June 2020 (3 so far). My doctor injects the anesthetic before eyelea. When I asked for anesthetic drops she said that due to the pandemic the practice is clearing and sanitizing rooms at a faster pace. Somehow this is not a good reason for me to endure

Pegasys stopped working
I have PV and take Pegasys 135mcg weekly for about 15 months. It had been worked really well for me with no significant side effects and blood counts were well controlled. However, about three months ago, my platelet count started to rise rapidly, from 400s to now 700s. My Dr. suggested to increase

Prednisone reduction and blurred vision
I have PMR started on 20mg of pred and am now on 2nd reduction so down to 15mg 4 days ago. Within 36 hours of reducing I get terrible fatigue not much pain but wierd vision, eye sight really blurry and hard to focus. Is this a common problem. Last time it lasted 5 days then I came right. Afraid it might

Finally got home late last night!
And I don't even know what happened! Yikes! Except that I had 3days of prednisone, then saw my neurologist. Then the next day he wants me in the hospital.😐 He even got my daughter on a conference call to make me! Ugh! What's up with that? Anyway, another 2 days of Solu-Medrol, and an MRI. To show

Painful stimulus techniques
Has anyone else been subjected to painful stimulus techniques? I get drop attacks and these techniques have caused me more distress than the attacks themselves. In just one visit to the hospital, the paramedic did a trapezius pinch, the ER doctor did a sternum rub and the nurse repeatedly did peripheral

Telephone appointment with Rheumatologist
Hi all ,hope you are all keeping safe and well. My question is, how can I be assessed over the phone by a rheumatologist. I saw the same Dr in January, and they were not helpful then. But my ANNA test is even higher than it was then, something is going on. My blood tests showed either Sjogrens or Subcutaneous

Hi, I'm new to this Mental Health Support forum
I'm relatively new to Health Unlocked, and I joined this forum now. I suffer from major depression, and anxiety, and today my therapist says I have some PTSD going on. He suggested EMDR. Has anyone had this type of therapy and did it help you? Thank you.

Interesting information regarding ocular inflammation after eye injections
Hi everyone; Ocular inflammation seems to be quite common post intravitreal injection. Here is a good read regarding the subject. It is important to note that severe eye pain, eye redness, and decrease in vision always warrants an immediate follow up with your ophthalmologist or ER to rule out eye infection

Barasitinib
Hi all just wanted to know if anyone has experience of being on Barasitinib as my rheumy nurse phoned up and said they are trying me on this instead of Tofacitinib and it worries me why they have changed it as I felt I dont really want to take any of these because of the side effects I am already taking

Sub-chorionic detachment
Hello fellow fertility warriors Has anyone else had bleeding due to sub-chorionic detachment? I am abroad visiting my family and had to go to a private clinic to have a scan as I started bleeding. Would love to hear if anyone else has had this. I read online it can be common with FET. I’m 7 weeks pregnant

Anyone suffer dry/burning mouth particularly interested if you take Xeljanz.
This started about March with dry mouth before extending to burning mouth over the past 6 weeks. It effects all my mouth including tongue, gums and throat. I'm also getting ulcers on both sides of my tongue. When it's bad it makes my whole head hurt and my tongue and throat feel swollen. Eating offers
