Dry eyes
I have suffered dry eyes for over 40 years. All was fine until last summer when I started having problems again. I contacted my GP who told me to go to my optician. The optician told me if I didn't take more care of my eyes I would suffer with corneal scarring and other problems. He told me to research

Hopefully no more injections š
So 12 months ago I was referred to Opthalmology after an opticians appointment and had a macular oedema in my left eye. I saw a consultant and he said brvo. After a short time I started receiving lucentis injections. I dreaded these as always had such bad after effects. I would be climbing the walls

Anyone experiencing sore, swollen eyes?
Hi everyone, Iāve been diagnosed with seronegative RA and for the last year Iāve been getting red soreness and swelling around my eyes. Iām trying biologics (Cimzia didnāt work, now 10 weeks into Amgevita with no great relief). Iāve been given a few month-long courses of Prednisolone to manage flares

The ride began on the 6th May !! On putting Richard to bed using the Ross Return I instinctively knew he wasnāt right . I rang our Gp first thing in the morning , a paramedic came out and took urine from his catheter bag . I wasnāt happy about that but didnāt challenge him . Richard was started on Antibiotics

Ectopic Snowball Effect
Hi, I've been reading here for a couple of years but this is my first post. I found the forum when, almost 2 years ago, I suddenly had a lot of ectopic heartbeats. I was in the shower and stressed out and they just suddenly started. I was having stomach pain at the time (stress) and after a couple

Rapid aging of facial skin with Pegasys?
I am almost embarrassed to ask this but here goes. Since starting on Pegasys (have had 9th injection today given every 2 weeks 45mg until today upped to 67.5ish) I have noted my eyelid skin drooping over my eye to the point that it almost obscures full vision, my cheeks have sunken without weight loss

Loss of appetite suddenly with PSP
My mom was diagnosed with CBD (one of the PSP variants). Since then her health was deteriorated and now suddenly she is eating very slow and doesn't look like she has appetite. We had seen issues with her eyes, ptosis, gait problems, walking slow and not interested in talking and incontinence. Now this

Postitive or negative? Did it help or hurt? I am new to this community but trying to find some answers about how I should proceed. I started with a bad practitioner who did not set it up properly/could not see me as frequently as I needed. I finally found someone who can see me twice per week but I am

I graduated
I'm so pleased to say that on Saturday, I completed my final run of the Couch to 5K app. As so many of us have said before, I too never believed that I would be able to run. I've always been overweight (and still am), and I would use this as an excuse for running. Give me a group game like rounders

Anyone had persistent chesty cough with meds or post stents?
Have had persistent chesty cough for 6 weeks with white mucus. GP prescribed antibiotics - nothing improved except blowing nose less. Now got nasal spray as diagnosed with post nasal drip but still as bad. Had 2 stents fitted Jan2022. On perindopril - taken for years, clopidogrel, aspirin and lanzaprozole

Little money spent on DMO research it all goes on AMD
I have DMO diabetic macular oedema a condition caused because my diabetes team mistakenly thought I should lower my sugar levels quickly and it caused terrible sight loss. I lost my career and my driving licence in my early 40ās. Time and time again I hear of the amount of money and research for those

Eye Drops
When I saw my nervy eye doctor (neuro opthamologist), a couple of months ago,, he gave me 2 medicated eye drop bottles, and told me to use the drops first thing in the morning for my Dry Eye condition. My nervy eye doctor is an excellent neuro opthamologist who specializes in MS-related

Another Month ........ Another Fracture!š
I hope everyone is as well as can be expected? (Vain hope probably, but worth a try)!šš¤Fingers also crossed for some nice bank holiday sunshine for everyone! (Cloudy here today). I posted in February about how I'd very stupidly fallen down a couple of stairs and suffered a periprosthetic femur fracture

PIO Knots!!
Hello ladies, its me again lol. So I recently finished my first FET on 04/20/21, and have been taking progesterone injections. I am sure most of you are aware that these injections can cause knots. I have knots on each side and I am not sure what to do to get rid of them or if there is anything I can

Advice please
I have recently been diagnosed with Glaucoma and finding it all very stressful. I am a contact lens wearer due to my very high prescription and during the last week I think I have dry eyes. I have purchased over the counter drops, which are helping slightly. Could it be my glaucoma drops causing this
