Hi hope your all keeping well, I have asthma and Angina amongst other things 🤦‍♀️ Just after Christmas I had swelling in one leg from below knee to above ankle phoned dr who sent my to a&e as she thought blood clot thankfully it wasn’t they said fluid retention. Went back to Gp for a face to face and she sent me for a chest X-ray got a call a few days later to say something had shown up on the X-ray so to have a repeat 2 weeks later I did the hospital phoned the next day to say I had to go for a ct scan as you can imagine I was thinking all kinds as I had breast cancer last January luckily it was caught in time so didn’t need chemo just lumpectomy and radiotherapy because of lockdown instead of treatment over 3 weeks it was given in higher doers over 5 days. I have just received a letter saying the findings of the X-ray but yet to see anyone at the hospital ( waiting for appointment) it says sub-pleural patchy opacification to the left upper lobe has anyone heard of this. Sorry for the long post and thanks

It sounds like you have been through a lot this year! I don’t know about your X-ray results but just wanted to send a hug 🤗 and hope they manage to help you get better soon!

Hope your appointment comes soon and the issue they've found proves easy to treat.

Hi Lyngal

I have just st posted my condition just over ver an hour ago. I have done my research with Dr Google about the possibility of getting pneumonitis as a result of radiation. I had 15 sessions no of chemo, lumpectomy and 15 sessions of radiotherapy. The radiotherapy targeted the whole left breast as all my lymph nodes were removed. I suppose I must already have had an underlying issue with my lung as I have been coughing for over 20 years which the GP put down to seasonal allergy and there was a nodule on my left lung when I had my first CT before I started treatment in 2018. Apparently there was minimal scarring on my left lung and there is a little more on both lungs now which could be the result of radiotherapy. Are you breathless? Do you have a cough too? Please keep in touch. When are you seeing your GP? By the way I do not quite like the idea of you have no the radiotherapy within 5 days. I am having telephone consultation now. I have just finished a course of prednisolone and I am still on antibiotics. 3 tablets every week for eight weeks. It has taken so long to get a diagnosis. I am being well looked after now. Please drink plenty. Warm water if possible. Hope to hear from you soon.
