Folate Deficiency
Hi Everyone I've just joined, so glad I found this group, wish I'd found it years ago. Great to find a place where everyone can be so open. I have a question and would be so grateful if anyone has experienced this could give any insight, I have a folate deficiency at the moment and have been prescribed

17 hour flight
I have been invited to a wedding in Louisiana later this year. My RLS is still problematic but manageable at home with Buprenorphine and Pregabalin and walking around / standing up. I am doubtful about the 17 hours flights. I can't ever remember going that long without several attacks of RLS. I've

On iron supplements but my ferritin did not increase
I started having a lot of symptoms of iron deficiency last year after correcting my long term B12 deficiency: dry mouth, palpitations, muscle twitches. It is possible that my iron had been low for a long time and I just didn't notice because my B12 had also been low. I started taking iron supplements

High Platelets
My hubby is the sufferer, he is 65 and has had PMR for four years. He started on 15mg of Prednisolone and has had a few up and downs but is currently on 4mg. To be honest I don’t think he had many blood tests in the early days but in the last two years when he has had a full blood count done his platelets

RLS and Bruxism/TMJ
I was just wondering if anyone else on here alsohas trouble with TMJ or teeth grinding? Strangely, my dentist was the first to mention it, before RLS was diagnosed. I never put them together until I was reading that it has neurological origins. Also linked to anxiety, which I have. I look forward

mCV blood test
a quick google tells me this relates to red blood cells and vitamins B12 and folate. Just wanted to check with you experts if this is correct? I have had a few full count blood tests and my levels have been 99 and 103 from a range of 75-105. I haven’t had blood tests yet that separate the vitamins

New Google AI called Bard
I’ve been trying out Bard with various questions. Still beta, so US spelling and orientation, but I think it made a pretty good fist of this one:- Why don’t doctors treat Pernicious Anaemia properly? Pernicious anemia is a type of anemia that is caused by a lack of vitamin B12. It is a serious condition

Iron tablets and T3 timing?
I'm trying to raise my low ferritin (33 at last test) and am taking ferrous sulphate twice a day (will be testing my levels again soon).I was previously taking my T3 meds once a day but am having a bit of trouble tolerating a recent 5mcg increase (was taking 10, now 15mcg) so I'd like to try splitting

Solutions for Severe Anemia
Hubby thought he was finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel, but unfortunately had a duodenal bleed in December. Ever since he’s been severely anemic. If he exerts himself in any way he becomes dizzy, nauseous and needs to have a nap for an hour or so. He feels tired all the time. It’s been three

Can someone help me to understand my blood results. Seems I will need treatment soon
After 5 years of W&W the consultant at Marsden is now of the opinion that now would be a good time to start treatment. He is, I believe, recommending O&V being first line treatment in the UK NHS. I am mutated. and key results are as follows ; WBC 98.6, HGB 123, RBC 4.21, MCHC 308, Neutrophils 13.8,

Low Iron and Vitamin D
My daughter has just received her ferritin results back from her GP. She hasn’t been issued with any iron tablets the graph shows she’s within the normal range but it is down at the bottom end when it needs to be at an optimal level, so I've read, My question is, can anyone recommend a good Iron vitamin

Severe Anemia and Imbruvica
I have been on 400mm Imbruvica for 6 years fighting CLL/SLL. I understand most patients consider them the same, I do not as I am tested every 4 months for both during Labs. So, please know this is not a debate for me, I simply have symptoms of both in post Labs with my Oncology expert. Most recently
