acid reflux, obviously acid increased with eating, can irritate opening of airway in throat and cause ‘asthma’ like symptoms. Excessive acid can cause pain where u describe, proton pump inhibitor can help ie omeprazole etc, certain amount of breath holding with eating, dopermine release etc. Endoscopy on horizon so that may have some answers. In meantime maybe smaller forkfuls, slow up, graze rather than feast, sit at table if u can and then you can support yourself to be upright snd allow for full lung expansion. Just ideas….get your scope done and review with gp. In the meantime take good care of yourself 🦊

Thanking you for replying....I don't have acid I have lots of trapped wind..Sometimes I can burp somedays I can't...I'm on lansaprazole 15mg...only thing that seems to help at times is windeze... I'm often nauseated after eating...4 yrs ago I had MRI of tummy which found 4 small stones in bile duct...but was a long waiting list for endescopy...So finally got appointment for this April..I have anxiety as well n palpations...which are more when I've eaten X

Stones in your bile duct can definitely cause the symptoms and pain you describe. Hopefully the consultant will remove them during the Endoscopy.

I’ve recently had my gallbladder removed after it became infected - some previous symptoms included pain under my ribs and bloating, and that seems pretty standard. I had to sit at the table to eat and was resorting to indigestion remedies as a means of self-medicating due to discomfort.

Your earlier MRI showing gallstones indicates that may be your problem, and can cause a lot of the symptoms you’re describing. Hopefully your endoscopy will throw more light on what is causing your discomfort.

Well not happy had phone call this morning from hospital to say my endescopy appointment has been cancelled due to illness gotta wait another 4weeks now 😭 In so my much pain in tummy....rang drs asked for call back to see if he can rush appointment as urgent he said no not unless I'm vomiting blood that would indicate tummy bleed panicking like 😡 mad

if you have a lot of pain in your abdomen it could indicate an infection either in your gallbladder or pancreas, if you go to A and E they will test your Liver function and other things if you have an infection it’s very important to get antibiotics as soon as possible.

From what I see now, the waiting list for, say, gallbladder removal even when it’s causing repeated pain, is several months. I think you need a marked sign of infection to get quick surgical action.

I’m so sorry you’ve been delayed for 4 weeks, that’s so frustrating. As has been suggested, go to A&E if the pains become very bad and uncontrolled with your usual meds 👍

Sorry to hear that, but thankful you're not vomiting blood. It's a shame you're left in limbo for another month. Will pray for a cancellation.

Hi Purple, I've had this problem many years without resolve, they put it down to using oxygen to digest food is the cause, I've had tube down throat but they did not see any issues it is a very frustrating problem as my breathing is so much better before food. I hope they can do something for you l know how frustrating it can be, I wish you the best of luck.
