What’s wrong with me?
I’ve never had GI issues before in my life. 3 months ago, almost overnight, I started having issues with bowel movements. I constantly feel like I have to poop, like my rectum is full. I strain and nothing usually comes out. What does is pretty soft, so it’s not constipation. My stool is… weird. It’

I have been taking milk thistle recently but also take other vitamins such as vit D , Calcium and Glucosamine - do you think I am taking too many seeing as my liver is already under stress - I have been diagnosed with NAFLD? vit D and Calcium were suggested when I had my knee replacement Thanks all

Just wondered if anyone takes MSM tabs? On top of M.E,vertebral fractures, kyphosis, I also have arthritis & am so stiff in the mornings can barely move.I live on the sofa as can’t lie or get out of bed,it’s a recliner so I’m propped up bit in same position all the time.I started them about 3 weeks ago

Supplement to restore joint health
I’ve been buying this for my dog for quite a while for his joints and the webpage says it is for humans too so I thought I would try it. https://wedeliver.nz/products/efac I have been taking it at 3 per day for a while and I swear it is helping. So if you have sore achy body it might be worth a try

Anybody Taking MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)?
It's been 2 months since I wrote about Methylsulfonylmethane so I am raising the topic again. I have finally worked it into my stack every day (1/4 teaspoon full in 5 ounces of water). It just looks like it supports all the things PwP would be looking to improve (I have a high school degree): 2.1. Anti-Inflammation

Pain meds with sensitive Kidney levels
Hi everyone, I had 2 episodes of where my gfr dropped from 68 to below 60 on the average 57. Once when I started taking Glucosamine and another when my blood pressure medicine manufacturer changed. It appears I am sensitive to the inactive ingredients but since there are several we don’t know which

Information about REMS Echolight scan for osteoporosis
Does anyone have experience with this new type of bone scan that measures both bone density and bone quality? It has been used in Europe but is relatively new to the US. I am interested in this because I have very low DEXA scores in my spine -4.1 and hip -2.8. No fractures to date but my doctor would

Methylsulfonylmethane: Applications and Safety of a Novel Dietary Supplement
This is my favorite section: 3.5. Reduce Oxidative Stress In vitro studies suggest that MSM does not chemically neutralize ROS in stimulated neutrophils but instead suppresses mitochondrial generation of superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, and hypochlorous acid [97]. Additionally, MSM is able to restore

Why my Dr is reducing my pain medication which is effecting my quality of life
I am 45 I got diagnosed with a degenerative disease of my lumbar spine in July 2011. I also have lymphoedema. To cut a long story short I have been through hell and high water to get put on a medication plan to help with my conditions. I am still taking my medication but I am in chronic pain. The problems

The Value of a Good Compounding Pharmacist, a True Story
Although I generally write about supplements, sometimes supplements are simply not enough and prescription meds can be beneficial in different forms that doctors and patients are sometimes not aware of. To ignore that fact is folly on the patient's part in my opinion. I am writing this true story to

FX-Silica Soothing Gel
Good morning everybody! Has anybody tried FX- Silica Soothing Gel for OA pain relief? It contains Glucosamine, Silica, Chondroitin & Blackcurrant. Saw a newspaper ad with amazing reviews. Expensive, but think it may be worth a try.

Technology and Drama
Howdy all. Hope all good with you fine folk. I didn't get to post an update yesterday as I had technical issues......... lucky for you all 😁. Last couple of days, I have managed to sleep through to 7-7.30am, hurrah! and the chest and back twinges (from the oesophageal irritation) seem to have passed

Clicking knees???
Hi, Anyone "suffer" from clicking knees? I have just noticed, may have been going on for some time, that, particularly first thing in the morning, my knees click when going upstairs. There is no pain or discomfort. I have made a cursory search on google and that says no pain or swelling normal.

What are your thoughts on Pain Control
A quick note about me: Dx at age 52 Jan 2020 with PSA at 170. Eventually got started on ADT in April 2020 with PSA at 300. Gleason 7 3+4. Extensive bone mets all over my skeleton , as well as a few Lymph nodes. I had minimal pain, mainly back ache, which I thought at the time was due to a back injury

Regarding pain when tapering?
I was diagnosed with PMR in Feb. and started 20 mg prednisone for about 5 weeks and on March 10th my Rheumy dropped me to 15 mg. He has me take my dose at bedtime (about 10:30 pm for me) to help with morning pain. When i was on 20 my pain was low perhaps a 1-2 on a 10 scale and mostly in my hands.
