Howdy all. Hope all good with you fine folk.
I didn't get to post an update yesterday as I had technical issues......... lucky for you all π.
Last couple of days, I have managed to sleep through to 7-7.30am, hurrah! and the chest and back twinges (from the oesophageal irritation) seem to have passed.
Feeling the odd ectopic thud, probably not helped by watching back series of Line of Duty, but nothing horrendous.
Yesterday's stress factor was sending hubby to Tesco with a list......... usually something I avoid unless desperate but there were only 6 items so I thought all would be well. Cue telephone call 20 mins later. "What type of Advocaat do you want?" I then had to point out that my clear writing actually said "Avocado" π. Mantra...... Deep breaths, calming thoughts, no stress, no stress.
Still had achey bruising but moving about a bit more, seemed to help, as did the odd ice pack. However, this morning, I did my usual daily check of the thigh bruise and groin area, then discovered a new purple patch of bruising in my pubic area. Raised an eyebrow when I dropped my pyjamas and said to hubby "have a look at this".
Rang the cardiology team who advised me to go in and get the bruising checked out. Fortunately, the registrar who had assisted in my ablation last week, was on ward duty today and came to see me straightaway when he saw my name. He said he wasnt unduly concerned, although it was very impressive (I assumed he was talking about the bruising, rather than my nether regions). To be on the safe side, he wheeled me down to xray himself to have an ultrasound.
All seems ok. No bleed found, just the excessive bruising. Have to say, 2 drs poking the groin looking for the femoral pulse and the vascular scientist digging the probe up and down the area, was more painful in that area than last week! I'm sure I'll wake up to more bruising there now, that I didn't have in the first place.
Advised to move around more to help disperse the bruise as lie ins and sitting too much apparently won't help.
So that's today's drama. Hopefully, there wont be anymore as I think that's more than enough for now. Anyone know of any cream that may help? I seem to remember my Mum sticking Witch Hazel on bruises but happy to try anything that smells nicer.
Take care and thanks for your help, as always.
