hi All,Happy new year🤗. This is the first time I’ve been on this page. I’m guessing I have PN or Perennial neuropathy. I suffer severely with pain in my pelvic area, vagina, and Anus, the pain goes all down to my feet. Now if I’m standing or walking I’m fine but when I sit or lie down I get the pain, apart from when I’m asleep, but when I wake up it starts all over again. It’s like a heavy feeling from my waist down, and tingling but also burning sensation. I’ve had this now for about 10yrs,but it’s slowly getting unbearable, and also stopping me sleep. I’ve had a CT scan but I don’t know the results yet. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful. Sorry it’s a long post.😢
Severe Pain: hi All,Happy new year... - Neuropathy Support
Severe Pain
I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through, but am pleased that the doctors are taking it seriously and have given you a CT scan. Hopefully that will give you a clue as to what going on.
I don’t have any advice for you, as there are other people on this group who have better insights, but if your scan doesn’t show anything keep pushing for more support as you can’t stay in that much pain.
Wishing you a Happy New Year, and am sending you a big hug.
This is a US site but an awesome treatment hospital and might help some. I have the similar Peripheral Neuropathy and do find low dose gabapentin helps. Best wishes as you seek to find relief.
You can’t see neuropathy on scans. MRI might show some damage or odd case of nerve impingement. Even if neurologists test and find it they can’t heal it.
Utube and look at dr tollestrup an operating surgeon who relieves a lot of people in pain with neuropathies. If I had money I would go in a heart beat. He lives in Henderson Nevada. ,I live in Canada and our health care is very cheap. Probably the drs rates are reasonable but I have never been wealthy.
I use meditation and relaxation tapes that calm me down . Then I have no pain for awhile. Like a medication you have to meditate once or more during the day. It gives me 60 percent relief. There is no magic bullet I have found that heals my neuropathy. Now 12 years
