Anybody here ever try genetic testing?
How was it? Did you find it useful/see an improvement? I'm searching for a new psych. I'm at the point where I'm not taking provider inadequacies and shortcomings anymore. I'm out. So I'm looking for a provider that not only utilizes it, but makes it an integral part of their practice. If you've done

Fertility Counselling
Hi lovelies, Can anyone recommend a fertility specific Councillor? I would really like to talk it all through with someone before it takes over my life. Our clinic offers counselling but I'd actually rather speak to someone not related to them. Have any of you spoken to someone about your fertility

Dreadful Anxiety
7 o clock am and already full of anxiety. Last 5 months have been hard. Some good days but living alone leaves you too much time to dwell on everything. Just retired so no real hobbies. I just want to feel better. I will feel better. It is a struggle but I must keep pushing. Counseling twice a week

2nd opinion rejected
My GP tried to refer me for a 2nd opinion as he was in agreement with me that i had been badly let down by my last Consultant. He tried to refer me out of area (only next town) so I would be under a different team to my previous experience. This referral was rejected on the grounds that they said ‘there

Referral for a knowledgeable psychiatrist in the NYC/NJ area.
Does anybody live in the NJ/NYC area that can provide a referral for a knowledgeable ADHD doctor? I do have very mild bipolar, but doctors always overfocus on that instead of the ADHD. I can function with just ADHD meds alone, but when I've been medicated exclusively for the bipolar, I was a vegetable

Awake at 4:00am, can barely sleep these days.
Awake at 4:00am, caused by a dream about no one showing to a party i threw in high school, that was 40 years ago. I had friends in elementary and junior high, by high school relationships had become few. Which I didn’t recognize at the time. Now I’m 57 with no friends. Just my partner and it’s not

Starting Chemo & Immunotherapy this week
My husband, Stevana on this site, finally has a date to start chemotherapy (Docetaxel) along with immunotherapy (Opdivo/Nivolumab) on August 13th. He was diagnosed on March 26, 2020. Because of extensive bone metastasis and lymph node involvement, he was not a candidate for surgery or radiation. His

Miscarriage at 8 weeks
Today - I was told the baby had no heart beat 😩 I knew something was off because I had weird pinching. I called my doctors office mid week and they told me it was normal. We did do the genetic testing and the embryo was a good grading. They don’t know why this happened, anyone else have this and have

Has counselling helped anyone?
I’ve been having IVF for 2 years. Had 3 FETs. no hint of a positive ever. It feels like every month is a horrific amount of grieving. I’ve not had any counselling and I’m starting to think maybe it will help. Has anyone had counselling? What did/didn’t help about it? How easy was it to get? (I suspect

is an ECG reading with QTc of 469ms normal?
Hi in 2006 I had an ECG done that I have recently found. It shows the QTc interval is 469ms but was reported as "normal". I was under the impression that anything above 440-460ms is prolonged or is it not that simple? Reason I ask is I am looking into making a claim that the ECG should have been interpreted

Have you been offered remote counselling?
As we are all aware, due to the current health concerns many Services have either stopped. In some instances, remote counselling has been offered via telephone or online. Has this been offered to you and if you wouldn't mind sharing, was this helpful? Chloe<3

Doner Eggs - a million thoughts and none at all?
After miscarriage and failed ivf cycles, were started on the road to anonymous frozen doner eggs. Never thought we’d be here, but it looks like the only way. We have our compulsory counselling session on Monday, my problem is that I have a million thoughts/ concerns for the future but none of them seem

Has anyone been on anti depression medication while having IVF?
Hi everyone! So, I was really fortunate at 41 to get pregnant with our first IVF cycle. I'd suffered 2 miscarriages prior to this & have pre existing medical conditions which made my pregnancy very high risk. I had extremely bad anxiety throughout the whole pregnancy and even after my baby was born
