Foundation One Billing Issue

Had my Genetic Testing done by Foundation One 2 years ago. For the last year they have been trying to have me pay the freight of $5,800 because my insurance didn't pay them. I called the insurance people and they said that Foundation One did not apply for nor receive Pre-Authorization for the test, but they still can retroactively receive authorization if they apply. Passed this on to Foundation One 6 months ago and they still have not begun the process for Authorization. However the invoices have stopped coming also so maybe I have heard the last from them. Anyone else have similar story about Foundation One?

I m sorry to hear about that Moespy. Early on in my APC career Blue cross didn’t receive our payment and dropped me. I went in for my tri monthly Lupron shot and was told that I could self pay $6700 .. ? Wtf ? we worked it out on the phone with bcbs .. for a second I almost had a stroke .
