Hard to find good therapists
I think counseling should be a required course in school. I mean there are health classes, why not mental health classes too? I also feel that mental health should not cost so much more than "body" health. Everyone wants to open the door for someone with a broken leg, but people with mental health

Depression/Anxiety Medication
Is anyone on any medication for their mental health whilst on the TTC journey? I am really struggling and so far trying to cope without. I’m pretty sure taking meds isn’t ideal, but otherwise I don’t know if I can cope. I’m on a waiting list for NHS counselling, but due to a complex MH history I expect

what to do when my Mum won't get help?
I'm new here, looking for advice on a situation that's not improving. My parents are in their 60's, retired. I live and work few hours away so don't see them often. A while ago my Mum fell into serious anxiety and depression. She stopped going out for any reason, then stopped eating properly, and was

Who is that in my head?...
I felt compelled to reach out and discuss where I am at in my recovery and see if others have been down this road... 18 months ago I attempted suicide - I had lacerations to my wrist and neck and had to receive a double blood transfusion. I called the emergency services after briefly gaining conciseness

Loving an alcoholic
Hi everyone, I'm new here but I would like some advise and help to understand something. I've never had problems with alcohol but my fiance is. He already was before I met him, so I was aware of what I was getting into. Or I thought I was. He accept that he has a problem and already went to rehab before

It never rains...
Been told that when my dad passes away I will have to leave the house as it is 2 bedroom house and unless I go private I am only entitled to 1. Amazing how things pile on top of each other. Trying to be positive is very hard. Christmas isn't a great time for me without many friends and a small family

Genetic sequencing
I posted recently that my oncologist had suggested genetic sequencing at my recent telephone appointment. Last week I went in to Addenbrookes to see another dr about it. My onc hadn't told me that what they were suggesting was a genetic testing sponsored by a drugs firm to see if any patients tested

Delayed heart surgery trauma?
Hello, I'm new here! I had open heart surgery at 10 years old (I'm now 21) and had my sternum wires removed 3 years ago. Recently I have been having really bad health anxiety - worrying about my general health and death/dying. I cannot comprehend the fact that I ever had heart surgery and the thought

2WW, first FET after miscarriage, anxiety, time off work
This is my first ever forum post and although I've been a long voyeur of reading comments on IVF forums I've never posted but I'm going crazy and I suppose I am looking for solace in shared experiences. I'm off work atm as I just had a meltdown on the eve of my most recent FET, I am now 7dpt and I realise

Hello my fellow endo sufferers, For the last 6 years I have struggled with Endo. Well obviously at first I thought I was going crazy and dying of something. Finally after my lovely doc had some training she asked me to go see the endo nurse, who booked me in immediately. So, how did they know I had

Parental Guilt of Embryos
Hi guys, I haven't posted for a while. I have had 3 FET's two of which ended in early miscarriages and one just failed. After a lot of counselling and my husband and I went back to the IVF clinic on 12th March to get ready for our next transfer, like thousands of others our treatment was cancelled because

Can anxiety create real physical symptoms
So I’ve had a lot on my plate this past year. My Dad passed away suddenly in January when I was 6 months pregnant with my first baby. He had silent coronary heart disease and it just happened one random day. I still haven’t processed this or been able to grieve for him. I can hardly cry about it 10 months
