RHEUMATIOD DISEASE......
Hello all, there was a bit of a rant yesterday about a subject that we all know about and have experienced. How many times have you been asked what you have only to be told "I have that too". Or what about "yes my granny has sore knees too". My favourite is "sure we all have a bit of that somewhere

Low body temperature and constant colds
I've always felt the cold a lot more than my friends, but lately noticing it more. Testing my temperature more often it seems my 'normal' (average) body temperature is 36 degrees, so slightly lower than it should be. My resistance to colds is zero and I often feel shivery. Humira for R.A. and cold sores.
Humira is great for my R.A. but I am getting huge cold sores on my mouth every month. I think the Humira lowers the resistance to any virus infection. Has anyone else had this inconveniant side effect?

To [Vitamin] D or Not to D? That Is the Question - from Medscape

Is one more prone to catching colds just after a dose reduction?
In Aug 2011 I developed PMR which was treated initially with 15mg of Pred. Currently on 1.25mg(2.5/0 alternate days). On advice from GP I am reducing slightly once a month and blood tests are normal, PMR getting better slowly. My husband has had cold after cold this winter. Every time I have reduced

CAN ANAEMIA CONTRIBUTE TO BREATHLESSNESS IN SIGNIFICANT WAY?
Watching a wildlife programme a few days ago I saw a report that seals/sea lions can stay underwater up to 45 minutes due to the rich haemoglobin levels in their blood. I have always had a tendency towards anaemia, and have severe COPD, so I wondered if taking iron tablets could help the condition?

PUPPP / PEP / itchy rash
I have had itching all over my body, except feet, hands and face, for about the last three weeks. It started off without any rash, which was concerning in case it was Obstetric Chlorestasis, but two blood tests do not indicate any cause for concern in that respect, thankfully. However, the itch is getting

IN GOOD HEALTH VII: REPAIRING THE MYELIN SHEATHING WITH DIET
As stated in my previous blog, here is the best material I came across during my research: http://helenpapas.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/can-you-eat-to-reverse-multiple-sclerosis/ The doctor who devised this natural diet was wheelchair bound because of MS, but did not give up until she was able to

Does anyone suffer with itching inside and outside the ear and what is the best treatment to use?
I have read previously of a link to PBC of itching of the ear and this is what I have put it down to. I suffer intermittently with this problem so I suppose I am fortunate in a way that it does not happen all the time (every 3/4 months).... I don't get itching any where else. I get severe itching inside

I'm on levothyroxine, am I still more susceptible to colds, viruses etc? Please help I could lose my job.
Maybe about a year ago I mentioned to my doctor that I seemed to catch every cold etc that was in the vacinity. She said "Of course you do - you've got an underactive thyroid!" I was stunned - I thought that would stop once I was on levothyroxine. Is she right? My manager is trying to put me on a
