Not sure if this is liver or gallstones...
Hi all. Just a bit of advice please. I've been diagnosed with gallstones and a fatty liver. I see the consultant on the 20th July. I am in pain every day but I'm confused as to if its really the gallstones causing this as I've read that people get diarrhoea. I don't. I REALLY constipated. Could this

My doctor thought it was "just" IBS
I've had twinges, cramps and pains in my abdomen for a couple of years now (along with the runs and constipation). I've tried various diets and had no relief. My GP put it down to "just IBS". (Hence I joined this network). Two weeks ago the pain became unbearable, I collapsed on the floor, doubled

Post operative complications
I had a liver resection (3 sections) for FNH September 15 and was discharged from the specialist four weeks following discharge, despite my liver continuing to leak bile in November and post operative lung problems . I asked my Gp last month if I should have had any follow ups which he completed as he

Recap my a&e visit today, and thank you sisters x
Hi all, Firstly I need to thank you amazing ladies for responding to my message earlier today. You started by lifting me out of a desolate frame of mind, you encouraged me to go find help, and you stayed with me though that horrible drive to A&E when you are steeling yourself to be told "your bloods

Weird sensations
Hi ladies, I am 8 weeks post op after a Total laparoscopic hysterectomy and double oopherectomy. I am feeling a lot better, no bleeding not in absolute agony anymore but I have a problem. A couple of weeks ago I think a big stitch fell out from inside when i was doing pelvic floor exercises, and since

Feeling anxious
Just had a 3rd set of bloods taken. Originally had an ultra sound as had all the symptoms of gall stones but no gall stones. This set of blood tests done at a haematology consultant who has now booked me in for a ct scan of neck, chest and abdomen, still have the belches, and upper right quadrant cramp

Endometrosis ?
Hi, I've had a bit of a rough journey with regards to gynae problems. I could never take the combined pill as it affected my bp. My first pregnancy in 1998 resulted in me collapsing with severe pre eclampsia at 36 weeks. Luckily my daughter and I both survived. She's now 18 years old. I had my son

BSGE Centre progress
I've had a bit of a result today with my BSGE centre referral. My appointment was scheduled for August but they rang at 7.30 this morning offering me a cancellation! It was slightly unnerving when the radiologist said 'oh you poor thing', and at the end of the examination said she needed to consult her

The Gall Bladder and its function
Hi, I had my op four years ago. Everything is great now, but I had a very painful gall stone last year, which they trawled a balloon through and removed it. It has been suggested that I have my gall bladder removed now as we don't use this organ anymore. But if it controls the bile from the liver through

side effects of prostap vs pain relief
Hi there, please forgive me if I make any mistakes here, I've never posted on this or any other forum before, but I'm hoping someone can help with advice. I have endometriosis. I was diagnosed 8 years ago, then told a year later that it was a mistake (because it didn't show up on an ultrasound scan)

Haemangenomas
Hi This is my first post so please excuse me if I'm not doing it correctly. I had an ultrasound to confirm gallstones on the 1st April, unfortunately after confirming gall stones the ultrasound also picked up lesions on my liver. I was then sent for a ct scan to have a better look at them, they said
