Gallstones, Fatty Liver & Hypothroidism
In your opinion are these three related? I have been hypo for 9 years (where does the time go?) and just bee told I have a fatly liver and possibly a gallstone. Just wondered what you thoughts were. My doctor says they are not connected.

Hysterectomy
Hi I had a hysterectomy with ovary removal in March. Was wondering if anybody else who has had this still felt like they were having cycles . The last couple of months for a few days around the same time of month I feel like I'm getting a period, down to the diarrhoea and horrible feeling in abdomen

Biliary Stricture and ERCP
So, it seems that I have to have a Stent fitted following a mismatch of the bile ducts between me and my donors liver. I'm OK with how it's done etc., but we're going away for a weeks break 3 days later and am hoping that someone could tell me if the recovery is any different from the usual banding procedure

Does anyone get colic from/with GORD?
I am a long time sufferer of GERD/GORD (depending on where you come from!) and I have oesophagitis because of it. I now also suffer from IBS, which may or may not be related, but it makes eating a whole lot of fun. Over a month ago I had an attack of 'biliary colic' (not really, as I no longer have a

Can a liver really repair this quickly?
This was the results of my biopsy back in December: non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, grade 6/8 activity with no evidence of autoimmune pathology. There is also advanced fibrosis with bridging septa (stage 3/4) but not conclusive features of cirrhosis. Given my high fibroscan reading (30.7 KPa) the doctor

To take or not to take Urso!!!!
I have been diagnosed with PBC in 2010 and have been taking Urso for 6 years. I have my LFT's done regularly and the results are a bit like a roller-coaster. Although my various LFT's continue to rise my ALP levels are always extremely high. After a couple of years I had not seen any improvement through

New GI states Urso will not help my PBC
I was diagnosed last August with PBC and prescribed Urso. Although I never started taking the drug, I have since moved and therefore decided to follow up on this disease with new GI. He stated that if I truly have PBC, Urso will not help. So confused. See this article by the The International LIver Congress

Gall bladder cleanse
Has anyone had a bad reaction to doing a cleanse? I am having gall bladder issues, and decided to do a cleanse my chiropractor gave me. Grapefruit, epsom salt. Has anyone tried this and have any adverse reactions? I did a liver cleanse years ago and had to stop because I started itching bad. Maybe toxins

Gall stones
Hi, I've just been diagnosed with gall stones and inflamed gall bladder. Doc has recommended a fat free diet whilst I wait for op to remove my gall bladder. I want to lose approx 2 1/2 stone anyway so fat free will help. Anyone else had gall stone or gall bladder issues. Do you have to eat low fat
