Does anyone suffer with gallstones? I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia 5yrs ago, two yrs ago I found out I have multiple gallstones one near the neck of gallbladder is 13mm. For the past three wks I have suffered so much with pain like never before to the point I can't cope anymore. I'm wondering since my gallbladder is barely working my body is not absorbing the vitamins from my food. I'm hardley eating at all n now I'm suffering worse then I ever have in the past 5 yrs with fibro. Would love to hear some reply a thankyou take care everyone ❤️

me too. was told years ago they couldn't 'blast' them because of size, risk of blocking ducts(?) and too dangerous. I've been living with pain, nausea, stomach upset etc. for quite a long time, also occasional pancreatitis (related to gall bladder). it helps to cut out dairy + fats from diet.
Thank you so much for yr reply, I'm sorry to hear you have been suffering so much the pain is horrendous, can I ask you does yr fibro pain hurt more since the gallstones I have been to see surgeon who wants to remove gallbladder but I'm exploring every option before I let them whip it out cos I have heard it can create more problems. Im finding since I've been In pain so much with gallstones my fibro has got ten times worse if that's possible ❤️
I don't think gall bladder affects FMS in my case. The symptoms do come and go but the worst of it def. affected by diet. I have lung condition which means I cannot have general anaesthetic to remove gall bladder, and they consider blasting them under local anaesthetic too dangerous. I know 2 people who had gall bladder removed, and both never looked back, hugely relieved. I have also heard cases where surgery caused more problems. Big decision to make. I do wish you well. xx
I had gallstones years ago but had the gallbladder removed about 8 months after diagnosis - not sure why you haven't had yours removed? Simple keyhole surgery - was in hospital about 2/3 days max. I agree the pain is horrendous. I was told to eat an ultra low fat diet to stop the stones being passed through the duct and creating the pain. Helped a little bit but still had the attacks.
I hate to hear your going thru so much pain as I had my gallbladder taken out 10 years ago.I wish you the very best with your pain.Peck🐤

I had my gallbladder removed in march and haven't looked back. Keyhole surgery was only in overnight. Hope you get it sorted as the pain is awful.
I had my gall bladder out december 2014 when they opened me up it was fused to my liver , and my spleen and pan were to so my surgury took five and a half hours instead of the normal one and a half, so i would say to anyone who thinks they have gallstones to get them sorted asap
