Dr. Jones' Knowledge
Several times a week I want to share some of Dr. Jones' statements regarding PBC These are all taken from his book The Definitive Guide for Patients Who Have Primary Biliary Cholangitis. I think it's important to share some of the basics of this complicated disease. If you have any questions

Urso and gallstones
A recent ultrasound revealed possible gallstone blocking a bile duct. An MRCP was recommended and carried out a couple of weeks ago although more like an MRI as no contrast was administered. I now have an appointment in June but I'm not sure what for. My concern is from reading the Urso leaflet it

Beta blockers
I'm 68, female with NASH/ Cirrhosis which is compensated. I have recently been prescribed 1.25 mg of Bisoprolol Fumarate (beta blocker) but I'm so anxious about taking it as my GP seemed unsure about any effect on my liver. I was wondering if any members take beta blockers with no ill effects? I'm also

Vagifem causing flare ups?
I've had a hysterectomy and excision and am currently in surgical menopause, about a year ago started with a return of pain/symptoms. MRI earlier this year showed what seems to be the remains of my RV nodule growing about a cm deep into the rectal wall, plus another nodule elsewhere on the bowel. I've

2nd Liver Biopsy result
My 2nd liver biopsy states I have advanced bridging fibrosis with a score of 4/6. Which I think means F3. My previous fibroscan was F2 (9.2kpa). I'm not seeing my consultant for 13 weeks. I know I'm not supposed to post test results but I would love to hear from anyone at F3 & how they are coping with
