I know all too well how overwhelming this diagnosis can be to anyone. All of the emotions that can follow are hard to deal with for sure.

If any new member doesn't feel comfortable posting anything here initially, please feel free to send me a message via 'chat'. We have all been exactly where you are right now. We 'get it'. We all are here for each other for sharing the good days - and the 'not so good' days as well.

One of the first things I would highly recommend is purchasing Dr. David Jones' book (on Amazon) The Definitive Guide for Patients With Primary Biliary Cholangitis. This book is easy to understand and covers so many aspects of this rare disease. Please consider purchasing it. There is a first and second edition - get both if possible but start with either one.

I bought Professor Jones's book and have it on Kindle so that I can access the information at any time, a very useful source of information from a dedicated man.

I was so hoping Dr. Jones' would have been in Edinburgh at The Summit but unfortunately he is recovering from knee surgery. His book should be given to every PBC patient. Wouldn't it be amazing if the docs just handed them out to their patients? That would be a wonderful "what if?" 😊
