Off topic? Stravinsky Study
Hi folks Just in case anyone fancies being involved in a research study. I tried to attach the poster but failed miserably so resorted to copy/paste of the information.
We are conducting a study to determine whether an antibody test result can predict who has the greatest risk of severe COVID-19

*Sensitive* - Missed miscarriage at 9 week scan, looking for hope and direction
Hello ,Firstly, I hope you are all okay. I haven't posted for a while but just feel the need to share and seek some light at a dark time After transferring our 5th and final embryo from our first round of ICSI (due to severe male factor issues), we were overjoyed to find out that at last we had a positive

Flare after covid
I’ve had a fairly mild dose of covid, and lots of stress with a leaking roof, which has caused a flare. I’ve been on prednisolone since early July after waiting six months for a diagnosis. I started on 20mg and had reduced to 12.5 without much pain but that has returned. I’ve taken 15mg for two days

Immunoglobin Blood Test.
Hello everyone. I had the Covid booster 2 weeks ago. I had an appointment booked for blood tests 4 days later. These were to rule in or out the cause of Osteopenia - low bone density mass.I now have Covid. Nurse rang me with blood test results yesterday and said they were normal apart from the Immunoglobin

Slow burn flare, following latest Covid vaccine.
It started with extreme fatigue - unable to keep my eyes open. Now I am finding it hard to walk and have significant back, knee, neck and head pain. A complete eye Heath check where nothing of concern was found yesterday required 2 hours sleep to recover. I am doubling my 5 mgs dose to do sick day rules

Covid Jab.
I've had my covid jab on 12/10/23.I'm alive ( yaaaaaay) , however like the previous jabs this one too has slowed me down too & it takes 48hrs for me to get back to normal & it's no different from having the flu jab. To me it's worth my life & I can now focus on getting over the hurdle of me getting reacquainted

Subclinical hypothyroidism and IVF
Hi, We’ve had 1 round of IVF/ICSI which we were referred for due to my partner’s low sperm count. Our first embryo transfer was unsuccessful but we have another one frozen. The clinic asked me to get my Vit D and thyroid levels tested by the GP before FET. I asked the GP for a print out of the results

Vaccines – at what point do they become a disbenefit?
I need to state out front that I’m not anti vaccination, I believe in the benefits having had several as a kid and now 6 anti COVID doses. But I’m now being bombarded with NHS offers of several different vaccines, COVID, Flu and shingles among them, and it has made me think of possible issues before

Targinact
I have had RLS for over 20 years and have tried most medications, the latest being Pregabalin, which was good but is now not working so well. I therefore asked my GP if I could try Targinact as I read this is now licensed for RLS. He has agreed and I just need to taper Pregabalin. Can anyone

Flu, antibiotics and Levo
I’m recovering from quite a bad flu I’m having to take antibiotics 4 times a day, now this is my question. I’m having very severe headache they are worse after my dose of levothyroxine which I’m leaving the 4 hour gap with. Could it just be the antibiotic hasn’t knocked the headache part of the illness

Covid
Hi all.So, I'm now on my 4th bout of covid. I am not really so surprised I'm stuck with heart problems. I guess it can only get worse. Has anyone else had covid 4 times, or at least more than once? I want to point out that I am a healthcare worker and have been vaccinated, although I don't believe

Hi, Ive seen on MPN voice and here that people with an MPN are at a higher risk from Covid. I have ET which is currently being treated with Pegasys and Aspirin. Am I classed as vulnerable? There is an option at work to have a special risk assessment if i am. I didnt ask my consultant and now wont see

Covid booster..good news story
We are all different, and respond differently to meds, vaccines, etc. I thought I'd post to say I had both my Covid booster (my 7th covid jab to date) and my flu jab on Sat. I had a slightly sore arm, and that was it. The least reaction I've had to date. BTW I was Pfizered, like in the spring. I
