How do you cope with executive dysfunction
Executive dysfunction is a term for the range of cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties which often occur after injury to the frontal lobes of the brain. It includes some of the most common effects of brain injury and makes up a big list, including difficulty planning and carrying out activities

Zytiga vs Casodex with Eligard for intermediate risk stage T3a, PSMA negative cancer, post RP (5/21) initial PSA 0.4, currently 0.79
I am curious as to why MO is choosing zytiga over casodex even though there is no evidence of metastasis at this time? He is recommending 24 months of ADT and possibly radiation. My father has been reluctant to initiate further treatment but will likely be starting soon.

Psa dropped from 561 to 18.7 in two weeks. I thanked my Doc
On nov 15 my shot up to 561 and my concern level shot up as well. I know its one component to the big picture, were treating the cancer not the PSA, I have another ct and bone scan on friday to determine any spead of mets, hopefully not. I will still take my victorys. I was represcribed xtandi and zytiga

An Enigma
I have written a number of posts earlier detailing my 22 year journey since RP in 1999. The issue that I face is a high PSA(146) after Lupron, Casodex, Zytiga and Chemo ( Taxotere). I still receive an injection of Trelstar every 3 months and am currently taking the chemo drug Lynparza. Thankfully I have

Hospice again
Well it has been a few days since my last post about my particular hospice journey. I will try to update every Friday if possible. I have to say that the last five days have been rather difficult. My pain has increased significantly. I'm currently on a 75 mcg/h fentanyl patch, 15mg methadone three

PSA rising and does not want to go on lupron
I've read some of the answers to your situation and I think that by by casadex would be your best option and depending on how fast his PSA is rising if he doesn't want to go on lupron you have firmagon which is a monthly thing so once you get it you if it doesn't agree with you it'll be out of your system

Good Report
Hello Brothers, just got my six month scans reports back. There was no progression to any vital organs ,lymph nodes,or my multiple bone mets. It's been a four year journey so far. As you all know waiting on scans can be nerve racking to say the least. My only treatments so far have been Zytiga, Eligard

A long wait, but gremlins did NOT win the day!!!
Despite several attempts, it has taken me almost three and a half years to get the opportunity to run it again; between stress
fractures
, covid, not being in the right place on a Saturday morning ... well let's say a lot of things have gotten in the way.

Adrenal Gland mets common?
No evidence of pathological
fractures
. Just celebrated 5 years since being diagnosed at 55 with BRCA2 ! Not going to do chemo because of thalassemia. Any other suggestions? No pain, mostly Restless Leg Syndrome keeping up at night!

Mix Up?
In July I was diagnosed with osteoporosis, GP said my dexa scan results show left hip T-score is -3•5 and lumber spine -3•1 and 36% chance of fracture. Fast forward to today I finally remembered to ask for a copy of that Dexa Scan and it read, left femoral neck -2•9, lumber spine -3•1 and left hip

Immediate vs Deferred Treatment of BCR after primary and adjuvant therapies. ADT, now or later?
Hi all, A few of us are in the BCR situation so here is a helpful (but hard to read) paper on the situation when BCR and PSA comes back > https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8543684/ I'm not sure what to make of the paper yet, and as there isn't a standard of care the "big" question for

Ok, so I have been a little foolish!
Having gotten no further than week 8 on C25k a couple of times, I started back again and now at the end of week 3 and wanted to run a bit further. So ended up doing 10k, felt really good but now have the same twinge in my shin I had when I first started. A little history, first time around I stopped

XTANDI dosage questions - do we need a different dosage to attain steady state and to maintain steady state??
Has anyone seen – or done some calculations on Xtandi dosage? From what I can see they arrived at 160 as the standard dosage after trials showed increasing side effects at higher doses. But I cant find any reliable info on effectiveness at lower doses- Heres my thinking: A single dose of 160mg has a
