Met w Dr Deaglin McHugh, Oncologist, and Dr Jonathon Coleman, Surgeon. Both said my numbers (PSA down to .56 and full blood panel) look good. Nano Knife not the answer (yet) for Advanced Stage PCa, but May work well for some sensitive hard to get at areas. Phase 1 Trial underway w Nano Knife for Intermediate

New Game plan
Thanks to all of you for your feedback, based on what I learned from this group I have a better understanding of what I need to do for a favorable outcome to the Oligometastatic disease I have been confronted with. Plan is to get PSMA scan and use aggressive radiation, including SBRT if needed, as well

Chemo as first treatment
Is there a reason as to why some patients go on ADT (Lupron, Firmagon, etc) and Chemo instead of a different path at the beginning of PC diagnosis? Background- my husband was first dx with stage 4 with PSA 350 and bone mets throughout (ribs, spine, pelvis, shoulders, skull). He started on Docetaxal immediately

Rural Air Pollution
In our small rural adjacent norfolk villages, we had, a couple of weeks back, an incident whereby the whole of the communities were pervaded by a hugely strong, powerful and intolerable stench (described as like domestic oil or paraffin) which filled the air for the best part of the day. It was reported

Big improvement in dexa - could they have missed a fracture?
It doesn't mention anything about
fractures
, but it also doesn't show the images so I can't see the structures myself. Realistically, is it possible they've missed something? Is it more likely that this big increase is the result of a fracture they haven't noticed?

Constant finger pain
I`ve had it examined as mentioned, No
fractures
or breaks were picked up but i`m still not sure what it could be. My thinking maybe a bone bruise? It feels like it`s coming from the bone. Any idea what I could do as I`m just fed up of it

Newly diagnosed Osteoporosis and hip fracture
Hi everyone, I am new here I have just found out this week that I have osteoporosis and a fracture of the hip. I have been told to use crutches by my consultant but am very confused about what I can and can't do. I have a fragility fracture on the femoral neck apparently. Any help and advice greatly

Back fractures
I had chemoradiotheraphy two years ago followed by an oesphagectomy and although I,ve never been told this I think that this could have caused the
fractures
. I can no longer sleep flat because of the op and have to sleep on an incline.

Should I cancel salvage radiation and ADT
I am 58 years old. I’m 185cms and weigh 95 kg. I was diagnosed with Gleeson 4+3 =7 around Feb 2014. I had a radical prostatectomy in 2014, Monitoring of my psa showed increasing levels; from 0.02 to 0.57 in Feb 2021. So it took 7 years to get from 0.02 to 0.57 I commenced ADT treatment 3 months

PSA .04 up from undetectable six weeks ago
Open till six weeks ago I was on Xtandi for a year with an undetectable PSA. Six weeks ago I stopped taking the Xtandi but continued with my Lupron and my PSA has gone up to .04. My question is should I get back on the Xtandi or possibly try Zytiga and prednisone. My understanding is when I become resistant

ZOLENDRONIC ACID VERSUS PROLIA?
As a result, it's affected my bone strength and I've had a number of Osteoporotic
fractures
. Initially I had Risedronate/Actonell but (like many people) was unable to tolerate it due to tummy side effects.

Question about Forteo injector pen
If you discharge the Forteo pen without the needle attached does that mess up the dosage? When I use it the next time will I get 2 doses?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
I started getting stress
fractures
in 2007. One in my pelvis, then several in my right ankle. This was exacerbated by an ankle deformity. In 2018 I had my ankle straightened and fused, and as yet, thankfully no more

Results of Radiation to My Fractured Superior & Interior Pubic Ramus Bones
Certainly an option I will consider if I get
fractures
or tumors in other bones. Option 2 - The option I chose. Getting treatment back at home in Florida. Option 3 - Not ready for major surgery nor was it recommended by 2 of the 3 doctors. I was prescribed 10 fractions (days), 30 Gray Dose.
