Endo has defiled my body and rocked my confidence; but its time to fight back.
So I was diagnosed with Endo in 2015 and to be honest with you the past 3 years have been rough, and they weren't exactly great to begin with. After 2 laparoscopy's (the last being September 2017 with the addition of a coil too) the endo is still hanging around and as I'm just coming out of a dark place

merina IUD after it has expired
In my case, insertion of an IUD by the usual means proved difficult (my cervix being very small and my vagina very long), so it was done, whilst I was also undergoing explorations of my womb, under anaesthetic. When the IUD expired, some 3 years ago, my GP suggested I just leave it in. I am concerned

HRT or not to HRT that is the question
After D&C and Mirena coil fitted then after a year of even heavier periods and excruciating pain, another op to remove the coil and an Endometrial ablation, that was nine months ago. I only get very slight bleeding, but I am in constant pain all around the abdomen, back and pelvis, I have never felt

Mirena IUD not working, stick with it or try something else?
Hi everyone, I'm new here so I just wanted a bit of advice on different types of treatment. My story: (apologies it's a bit long) I was diagnosed with endometriosis in February 2016. Since I was 18 I had awful periods and pelvic pain even though I was on the pill but I felt it was more than just period

Failed surgery and no answers
After years of problems with endometriosis, I collapsed in July 17 and taken to hospital. It was decided that my right ovary needed removing as there was a large cyst and my right tube to also be removed as that was infected. My ovary couldnt be removed as it's stuck to my pelvis. The cyst could only

Out of options? Endo and Mirena
Hi all! In May 2017 I had a laparoscopy to diagnose and treat endo and a mirena coil fitted. Before having my surgery I was put on every form of hormonal birth control possible with the same out come - severe depression. It was suggested I tried the coil as it has a smaller amount of hormones and it

One for the ladies ..MIRENA coil.
Hello ladies Anyone on here had experience with MIRENA coil. I had one fitted last month and I've not quite felt right since. Not sure if it's just a flair up and i waa due one or if it's the hormones in the coil causing havoc with my body and it's triggering it. I've had a good 6 month stint until

Should I keep the Mirena coil or remove it? Advice please!
I have had the mirena levonorgestrel IUD for over a year now which was put in during my last surgery to remove endometriosis and I've been experiencing certain symptoms which I can't narrow down and neither can the doctors despite having tests. The symptoms I've been experiencing are.... Chronic pelvic

Was tested positive for antiphospholipid antibodies in my Blood
Hi so I was supposed to get sinus surgery and during the pre op they found that I had antiphospholipid antibodies. I am 38 years old and have never had any symptoms that I know of. I go back for my second test in 12 weeks but I was wondering if any one got this after having abortions or having an IUD

One swollen Tonsil and Hypo
Hi all - Very happy to have found this group. The first I have ever really joined medically. I usually just read and leave. Little bit about me and what is going on. I had terrible acne for my entire life and IBS. My brother has Chrones disease. Nothing treated my acne not even acutane after three

How quickly does it come back...
Hi all I had laparoscopy to remove endometriosis in March 2016 and until a couple of months ago everything felt so much better. Initially I had the implant however that was affecting my mood and had constant bleeding so I decided to come off it and try the mirena coil. It was horrible getting it fitted

Follow up appointment after laparoscopy. Just as I had dreaded 😔
I had my follow up appointment, consultant said there was no visible cause of my pain during my lap and hysteroscopy but I have PCOS and lining is thick and something has to be done as it could become cancerous in the future. The three options he gave me were the coil, the pill, or provera. I chose
