Fluoxetine

Hi all I'm on levo and also take fluoxetine . I take them about 12 hours apart to ensure no interference of absorption. However, reading through lots of posts on here I've come across posts where people have been advised not to take anti depressants when on levo.

Day 12 of fluoxetine..... Still having some bad days.... Panicky episodes don't last as long.. I'm hoping soon all the horrible side effects go away... I just keep ticking off 1 day at a time.

Been given a prescription for this, however I've read a lot about it making people worse and making them feel sick etc which will make the anxiety even worse! I'm so confused on Wether to start taking these or not, if I don't will my symtoms pass or I'm I going to need something to get through it?

Has anyone else having had to lean on the help of anti-depressants and taken Fluoxetine been completely floored by this drug?? The drowsiness is worse than a bad thyroid day along with lots of other side effects. Can any one recommend a better alternative please???

It's about time I write something to introduce myself! I was diagnosed in the very beginning of 1990. It all started with vertigo, double vision, trouble swallowing, weakness on one side of my body, extreme nausea. I couldn't even stand and, after a couple of days not being able to keep even water down

I was prescribed fluoxetine by my doctor , 10 mg a day, once a day, back in June when I went for my high anxiety (mind you I didnt have mild depression then) but I still haven't taken them because I'm scared of the side effects and what they could do to me, plus I don't really understand how it works

I am now on 20mg fluoxetine, day 11, and still can't notice many benefits, but I am reluctant to think that this can be caused by anxiety only. Has anyone had this? Thanks.

The Endo suggested I try either T3 or Armour thyroid, but to stay on the Fluoxetine until the Armour got into my system, but the following day I had a really bad day, I asked the Chemist about taking Fluoxetine with thyroxine, and He said everything that i had read Fluoxetine wasn't the best tablet

I am now on 20mg fluoxetine, day 11, and still can't notice many benefits, but I am reluctant to think that this can be caused by anxiety only. Has anyone had this? I am on Eviplera but have tried other combinations and I don't think there is enough evidence to suggest it is my HIV Meds anyway.

Not Been on here for awhile but been back in hospital with copd flaring up again regarding my back pain they have now put me on 120 mg of duloxetine on top of everything else but when i walk or try and play with my grand kids the pain is unbearable if the oral morph feel like its not working im nearly

Hi all, been ages since I have been on here, I am having such a bad flare up! Even lying in bed hurts but can't stay up, the pains are horrendous, my feet are so sore, maybe from walking? But got such pain in my heel nothing to see but ouch! Painkiller not touching the pain, even writing this is agony

I'm taking fluoxetine just now but I don't know if I've been taking things for so long they just don't work anymore. When I stay off I end up feeling a million times worse, I can't eat, my arms feel all tense and weird and I cry at the drop of a hat.

Iam now on fluoxetine, it's only 20mg so it's a lot lower then the 50mg of the sertraline I was on.is anybody else on this? I have side effects but it's ok to cope with? The Docter Said it can take a while to kick in but really good, I'm Hoping this is true. Can anybody help, thank you xx

I've now been on 4 medications 2 I had bad reactions to them (sertraline and fluoxetine) as they are both part of the same family so whatever is in them is not agreeing with me at all so my docter had to take me off the straight away.
