Fluoxetine

Hello I have been taking fluoxetine now for just over two weeks and I feel dreadful. Has anybody had terrible hand tremors and a feeling of butterflies almost in the chest, I don’t sleep. I don’t suffer with depression just terrible anxiety. I feel like I’m full of adrenaline and need calming down.

I would be grateful for any positive feed back on fluoxetine. I have had anxiety for years but not depression

anyone changed from fluoxetine to sertraline and had to have a weeks break from taking fluoxetine before starting sertraline. I can’t recall doing this in the past but my current go told me I have to.

I have been given fluoxetine for anxiety. I always seem to encounter side effects with anti depressants. I did with sertraline and amitriptyline. I feel more anxious today and I don’t know whether it is worth carrying on taking these tablets.

I have been taking fluoxetine for a week. I don’t have much luck with anti depressants. Having awful side effects with sertraline and amitriptyline I have now started with shaky hands and I feel very wound up. . Has anybody else had this. It’s making me more anxious.

My GP changed me from fluoxetine to miratazapine and it’s made such a difference. I am sleeping now which before I wasn’t even though I had my fluoxetine increased in november as I couldn’t face changing medication at that time. I have more energy and generally feel much more positive.

Hi, my doctor recently switched me from fluoxetine to sertraline bc I was having a lot of uncontrolled, general anxiety. I’ve been on 25mg for about 10 days and I’m having abdominal pain/cramps. My doctor did warn me about the diarrhea side effect, but I haven’t had that so much as abdominal pain.

I have been taking fluoxetine for two weeks and at the moment I don’t feel any benefit. I could do with some positive feedback please

I take fluoxetine 20mg for depression & anxiety, just trying to work out if it’s the bisoprolol or more emotional? Any thoughts on this, much appreciated 👍

My doc did not think there was anything wrong with the "hairs in my ears" and urged me to get back on the fluoxetine. I did, throughout this time, still have periods of complete silence. The BP meds were doubled for a couple of days. The fluoxetine is kicking in, so I'm not bothered by it as much.

Then went on fluoxetine in march 2024 and the dizziness came back. Was on those until June/July then stopped because I felt ok. The dizziness was on and off by then. When I came off the dizziness stopped for about 5/6 weeks then came back.

Please can some one recommend a good anxiety medication to take alongside my fluoxetine? I do also have blood pressure which is on the low side thanks so much. I would love to hear about what medications or even natural remedies have worked and haven’t worked for you

Hi Everyone, I have been on the following medication since 2004 Metformin ( Slow Release) Atorvastatin Fluoxetine Lercanidipine Perindopril And Ropinirole since 2012 I’m seeing my local GP tomorrow about my restless legs.

I also take fluoxetine at night. I’m getting a bit confused - when are the best times to take all of these? Any advice would be most welcome xx

i really need some advice on how to calm down a, I already take fluoxetine and quetiapine and I’m spraying this rescue remedy spray constantly!

Have said to GP I want to wait until I know best one to take, and she is going to look into it, she mentioned fluoxetine or Loxitane? Anyone else with fibromyalgia with RLS how do you cope with it and what meds are you taking? Many thanks

I take statins as my cholesterol was high and fluoxetine for anxiety and depression. Chicken or egg??I no longer sleep well and still get AF or flutters randomly and also panic attacks or both , especially at night, which wake me up. I take D3, folic acid and B12.

hi , I have tried a few different meds for my raynauds including fluoxetine most recently. I haven’t found anything that helps and so stopped taking due to certain side effects . Now the weather is getting cold my rheumatologist suggested trying sidenafil (viagra) .
