But got such pain in my heel nothing to see but ouch! Painkiller not touching the pain, even writing this is agony! Can anyone suggest anything, I'm on Tramadol, amitripyline, duloxetine, for pain! Just need a break from it!

Hi there
Have you tried massaging either something like Deep Heat or a Freeze gel into them just for some slight relief?
You could try seeing your GP and asking if they would prescribe you anything else for pain?
Good luck. I hope you are able to get some relief soon.
Wishing you less pain and more peace

I have used gels prescribed by doctor before with little effect. I have got an appointment at the doctors on the 10th. Feeling nervous about going as my normal doctor whom I had a very good relationship with has left, so seeing someone I have never met before, think I'm frightened incase she doesn't believe the pain I'm in.
Hi again
Why don't you see how it goes? You may be pleasantly surprised.
If you feel that your new GP does not believe you can request that a pack all about Fibromyalgia be sent to her.
On our mother site fmauk.org there is a form you can fill in requesting the pack.
You can either do this anonymously or discuss it with your GP first.
My own thoughts are that it would be nice to discuss it with your GP before requesting it and ask her if she thinks it may be useful.
Doctors relate to pain better on a scale from 0-10. 0 is no pain and 10 the worst pain you've ever had.
If you start a pain diary today and just write down where you are on the pain scale and a little bit about what the pain is like.
Your GP will then have something tangible to work with.
Do you think that may help?

lilandles, Sorry your in so much pain today. I have pain in my feet as well, the bottoms are killing me now.Try soaking them and may speak with GP could be a reason.Good luck.Peck 🐤
Have you tried a soak in Epsom salts for your feet. It is a horrible feeling when even lying in bed is painful. Do hope the GP's appt goes well.x
Hi.
Sorry to hear off your flare up, have you ever tried Gabapentine or Pregabaline ??
I'm currently on Pregabaline & I find that it makes a difference.
Have you been given Morphine Patches ??
I'm currently on stronger Pain Patches.
Are you looking at medication help ??
The are Alternative Therapies around ??
Steve.
I will see what the doctor says I have tried Pregabalin didn't agree with me. I think my doctor didn't want to go down the morphine lane, even just for a day without pain would be like a dream come true!
Forgot to mention I have non epileptics fits, I told the man who was trying to help me with gentle exercises ( fibro fog) can't remember what his profession was called. So he wouldn't even consider acupuncture! He sails nobody would risk it as I jerk around.
Hi, "sorry"
Yes Idon't blame you with Morphine this is the "Controlled Drug" route. I had been on the Morphine Patches for a number off years hitting the max dose. I'm now on even stronger patches, still only taking the edge off the pain.
I don't blame you for not going down that route. I only wish that I hadn't as they have gone way out off control. I have tried Acupunture & I did find that ver useful.
At present I am playing with a number off Tens Machines which are looking very useful. Recently I purchased an "American Brain Stimulator" this is also looking very promising.
I'm also training at becoming more well known in Chinese Medicine's as I feel that this has a major role in my ongoing search for pain control.
Steve.
Hi lilandles
I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend, and I sincerely hope that your pain eases for you soon. If this persists or gets any worse it may help to visit your local walk in centre and tell them how you are feeling, just to ensure that the problem is Fibro related? I think that we are constantly in so much pain that we tend to rule out that pain could be related to something other than Fibro?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
