Hi was wondering what follicle count others with low AMH had in investigative scan with no stimms? I was given an AMH of 1.7 which is extremely low even with me being 38. This was at private clinic. The NHS then also did AMH test and scan and in the scan i had 6 follicles on one egg and a few on the other. I'm not sure what the standard is but thinking this is a lot of follicles for the AMH level private clinic gave. Still waiting on results of AMH from NHS but hoping original was just wrong. Probably wishful thinking but my FSH was fine with gp tests. Husband sperm still an issue so would still need ivf but would love to hear any opinions especially from others with low AMH.x

Question for other low AMH
Can only share my experience. My AMH is 1.4, tested last year when I was 38. On short protocol I had only one follicle grow to 17mm and an egg was retrieved. There was one smaller follicle but no egg inside. I’m currently on long protocol with 3-4 follicles growing. Hoping there is a viable egg inside each. Best of luck! Xx
Thanks for sharing. Yes been following your story and sending you lots of happy baby thoughts that those follicles contain your lucky egg.x

Hello I am also low in AMH 3.9 that was last year when I started doing all the test with the NHS and after waiting for a while as my boyfriend needs to quit smoking We started the IVF treatment 7 days ago after 7 days of injections I only have only 1 follicle growing (hopefully a nice egg is waiting there) and hopefully they can do retrieval on Monday and that single follicle is the lucky one 🤞🏼
Good luck and if you have any questions I’m happy to help, good luck x
Hi hun,
I'm AMH 0.4 (at 35 yo.) and I usually don't develop more than 1-3 follicles per IVF cycle, so I guess yours is an encouraging number! Perhaps due to your FSH still being in a good range. Good luck
Hi, my Amh was 1.9 and I had around 6 follicles also. I am now 22 weeks pregnant after icsi so there Is hope! Good luck xx
My AMH is 4, I’ve still been offered ICSI which we will start very soon if our “last chance” hasnt worked.
What I’m wondering is what can you do or has anyone done to increase egg quality or maybe even improve their AMH level?
I’ve took dhea and ubiquinol amongst other supplements about 20 pills a day after 2 mc for egg quality at 38, I got pregnant but mc again was the worse pregnancy out of the 3. I was dead set on them working, with positive stories on here and internet when researched. I’m using up what I’ve had left but not buying more ☹️
Thanks for reply. Good to know. They are very expensive so if they haven't made any difference will pack them in too. Did you notice and side effects with the DHEA? I've heard they can cause weight gain.
I’m 32 and my AMH is 6.1. And I had 7 eggs collected at egg collection which 4 were fertilised and 1 made it to day 5 on my first round of IVF (other 3 weren’t viable for freezing) and I fell pregnant with that embryo and I have a healthy 6 month old baby boy. (During my round of ivf we wanted to do everything we could for the best possible outcome and we spent £390 on a service called embryoscope which takes pictures of your embryos every ten minutes to help determine the best embryo and it increases your chances from 45% to 60% success xxx
Hi thanks so much for your reply. I guess im still dreaming a bit hoping for a good egg for transfer, success and some for freezing....maybe because i'm older and time is running out, maybe because its our 1st and costing 6 grand we could be (or in our heads b4 we had this news would have been) spending on new car or extra maternity leave, doing up garden or going part time. I'm so overoptimistic. Congratulations on your success. I can only hope we get a child from this. Our clinic uses time lapse imaging which i think/hope is the same thing. I had no idea it increased success rates so much though. Thank you so much for your reply. Congrats on your baby boy. xxxx
