DHEA Update

Well had a scan at 8+5w the sac was abnormal the worse out of the 3 pregnancies I really thought taking these supplements had worked as I got pregnant quickly. So obviously we’re devastated but maybe abit desensitised as we tried not to attach ourselves emotionally to this pregnancy. 😢

I've read through a few older posts and wonder if anyone had any updates after a few months taking DHEA?

** After 3 months taking 50mg Dhea 600mg ubiquinol 40mg PQQ, 30mg zinc, 800ug folic acid, 1000mg vit c 25ug vit d 1000 mg omega 3 fish oil with dha.

Last mth added 1500mg maca and 500mg royal jelly.

I am cautiously pregnant again as my previous 2 pregnancies ended in mc at 12&13w. I am hoping taking these has made a difference to egg health. I shall have to just wait and see.

That's wonderful, congrats! And thanks for the list of supplements you took. Did you take 600mg of ubiquinol or ubiquinone (the weaker version)? Very best for a healthy pregnancy xx

Thank you I took ubiquinol

Thank you for the update and congratulations 😁🙏 I am taking 50mg of dhea (might increase to 75?) and 300 ubiquinol, before doing last round next year. I looked through some of your older posts- just wondering if you did get more side effects from dhea other than greasy / few spots?? I’m worried about hair growth!! Xx

Hi I was going to increase dhea to 75mg but I hadn’t had any tests so I didn’t want to take too much if I didn’t need it. Actually after the first month I wasn’t as greasy didn’t have hair growth or loss I was more concerned of loss.

If your taking ubiquinol I’d take PQQ aswel it supposed to make new mitochondria and help the ubiquinol be more affective.

Maybe just coincidence but I’d only started royal jelly and maca this cycle.

Made a difference to us in this cycle. With a low AMH of 6.0 we managed to get 10 eggs, 5 made it to 5 day blasts. We got 3 Frosties, never manage to get any Frosties on our 2 previous cycles. Both ended in MC, although we did think get a BFP this cycle I certainly think the DHEA worked for us. Time for additional investigations now before we attempt to transfer xx

Hi did you take ubiquinol aswel? Sorry you didn’t get a bfp it’s not fair. I hope I can get one soon x

Mine was early Sept. They wanted to carry out tests as i was 16 weeks and have asked us to hold off trying until after that. Appointment is in mid Dec as there was a long waiting list. Best wishes again!

It’s good your getting tests done, I’ve got an appointment tomorrow with dr to see if she’ll do any tests now I’m pregnant and I’ll ask about an early scan the midwife said only after 3 mc but we’ll see if dr suggests it. I still have a fertility app in jan not sure what to do with that yet I’m going to try to put it back a few weeks just incase.

Sorry for your loss too xxx
