Start Besremi Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the day I start Besremi. I was dx with PV 4/15 (tax day in US) in 2016. Since then I've only had phlebotomies and taken aspirin. I've had no major issues or challenges other than low ferritin which I believe contributed to some fatigue. Immediately upon dx, I began educating myself on treatment

Vocal Cord Paralysis
Hello All, I had my first surgery in 2013 and my surgeon “nicked” my left vocal cord. It has been paralysed since. My voice was barely above a whisper for over a year and gradually got better. It’s still not the best but it’s better. For the last few years (probably at least 5) I have been back and

Week 6 run 2. Should be uneventful, right? Wrong. It was dark this evening. Damp, cold without a frost, and no friendly moon to light a silvery path. I set off keenly along the row of houses, each fiercely blazing with outdoor security lights. The damp chill in the air dispelled any lingering warmth

Oxazepam withdrawal and Tapering
The doctors are trying to taper me off benzodiazepine tablets and it is hell . I have been taking a low dose for twenty years and they have been very helpful in my debilitating anxiety, now they want me to take antidepressants instead . Starting withdrawal at the same time as starting a new drug is

Is Rectal and Vaginal pain normal for endo?
I have endo and I've recently been put on the pill as a tri-cycle. This is my first period since and I'm now taking the pill again after the break. Recently I've been experiencing what I can only describe as a dull ache and twinge in my rectum and in my vagina. At the least it's uncomfortable and at

Pneumonia Recovery Issue
I just recovered from viral pneumonia after being diagnosed on 11-11-2022. Is it common, after all this time to have good and bad days (meaning feeling well then the next day feeling like a truck hit me) and also my breathing hasn't quite returned to normal either. It's not real bad, but it is noticeable

Paediatric appointment coming up
Hi My 4 year old son has his first paediatric appointment coming up and I’m wondering what I should ask. Desmopressin stopped working
Hi there, this is my first time posting, and I'm hoping others in similar situations can share advice. My 11 year old son still wets the bed. He's been using desmopressin and an alarm since October. Initially things got better (waking up sooner when the alarm sounded, and fewer wet nights) to the point

As I mentioned, doc advised to continue meds until tomorrow. I know the baby is not growing. Oripro today after scan made me sick, my breast heaviness was bad and took Panadol and decided to stop meds. Cannot sleep and it just felt like first night of period as Everytime I bleed at night. I convinced

Another Miscarriage - what next?
Just looking for advice please on what I could ask my clinic about going forward. I’m bleeding today, (5+2) and have an appointment with EPU on Monday, but I’m pretty sure I’m miscarrying as this happened at virtually the same point on another FET last spring. This was my 3rd transfer. I’ve still got

Start of FET 😬
Morning ladies, I’m having a bit of a moment! I’ve finally started my FET today after our last round of treatment in the summer which ended in a MMC. This pretty much broke me. It was without a doubt my biggest challenge to date and took everything I have to come out the other side. My husband is great
