CATCH-UP CORNER. WEEK 3. Come on in, everyone is welcome here ...
Hello fellow runners. A very warm welcome to the Corner, on what is a very blustery day here in the Staffs Moorlands! The weather is very changeable and currently we are , seemingly, in for a few boisterous days. But I have made up the fire and drawn up the chairs, so that we may share our running

"Emotional flashbacks" to things I don't remember
There have been a lot of posts about flashbacks, but I think I may be having flashbacks to things I have no conscious memory of. It isn't quite a panic attack, but I struggle to speak and suddenly burst into tears. It's usually triggered by being handled in a way that hurts, or getting stuck in an uncomfortable

Pred Before Surgery
I am due to have replacement hip surgery soon and one of the instructions pre op is not to have anything to drink that contains milk 6 hours before my admittance time of 7.30am. I am having a spinal block, not general anaesthetic. I normally have my pred about 7am with a yoghurt so what is your advice

Is anyone familiar with concussions?
Hello all, My friend received a bad blow to the head that was unrelated to biking, and it's not good for either of us because it's stressful and limits our lives in some ways. Two weeks later, he is still experiencing dizziness, mood swings, and general fuzziness. Help. liamnoah

Is it too early to tell or period just unstable?
Hi, I have PCOS so I’m prescribed medroxyprogesterone to bring on a “cycle” if I haven’t had one after a while. I started taking the pills little over a week ago but had unprotected sex when I was on day 9 of the medication. Usually my period would start when I’m almost through taking it or a couple

If anyone is in any doubt if Keto works alongside our blood sugar issues, I’ve been on Keto for just under 4 weeks now and have lost 1 stone and 3 lb. By back pain has disappeared as has my left knee pain. My bowel issues have disappeared. I’ve stopped going to the loo more than 5 or 6 times a day.

When I was in hospital
When I was in hospital I saw woman sitting in wheelchair. I asked here why are you in hospital? She told me that it was car accident and it damaged spinal nerves and she can't walk at all. I started to understand that we have something common that wee are in hospital , that I have problems with walking

IBS-C
I went from IBS-D to C. I was doing pretty good with Metamucil every night but lately is not working. I started taking few times a week Miralax but the last few days I go to the bathroom to pee and when I clean myself I have poop on the paper, its horrible. I had a colonoscopy and everything as good.

Pulmonary vein isolation
Hello. Has anyone here gone through radio frequency ablation for pulmonary veins isolation? I know they have to pierce the atrial wall to get to the veins and I am curious if it's painful? I have gone through two ablations which were much simpler, never left the right atrium and I was mildly sedated

New to Headway as the spouse of someone with TBI
Good morning all, Just a note to say hello and express my gratitude for finding this group! I've been married for 34 years and my wife had a TBI in 2016. Thank God the effects have been relatively mild, but enough to drive me to find this site. She almost died from a fall and had to undergo a craniectomy

Living with congenital Hypothyroidism
My name is Amanda this is my experience. I was born with Hypothyroidism, it has been with me all my life. I recently discovered that cow's milk suppresses levothyroxine/synthroid if you are from USA, from working correctly so I changed to lacto free or oat milk. I am now on 150mg of levothyroxine.

Pain post-hysterectomy
Hello, I'm 13 weeks post-hysterectomy and endo excision, which I opted for as all else failed. I had endo and adenomyosis- long story! I seemed to be doing really well, and now today I was awake very early due to pain and crazy bloating. I can barely sit up or walk, it's horrible. I did try some stretches
