Horrible numbness/tingling.
A few months ago I had a minor cyst removed on my left groin area. That very night my left thigh fell asleep and did not wake up until the morning. I cried all night. The next day was okay but night time my lower leg fell asleep. The next day my left arm fell asleep while driving (I am left hand dominate

Could it be just the low ferritin?
My results are : Tsh 5.62 (0.4-5.5) Ft4 12. 1 (10-19.8) Ft3 3.5 (3.8 -) TPOab 40 (<60) My ferritin was a bit low 39.6 (20-291) Now I wonder if my symptoms could be just the low ferritin ? And if I manage to get the ferritin up then I will feel ok? What do you think? I have just started on 25ug levo

Drug free and waiting for neurologist
I take 3 tablets of
ferrous
sulphate
through the day (my last blood test showed my ferritin levels had increased to 79) and in the evening I take 300mg of magnesium malate. To help me over the initial bad nights with RLS I take 2 tramadol every 3 nights to ensure I get some break from the legs.

Has anybody had an iron infusion?
Hello all, I went to a very helpful and patient endocrinologist yesterday as recommended by the lovely ladies here. It was a private appointment. I am hypothyroid and I have antibodies around the 200 mark. One of the main issues I have is fatigue and I struggle to increase my ferritin levels as I cannot

Newly diagnosed
I just started on Levothyroxine 25 microgrames. My ferritin was a bit low 39.6 (20-291). So I bought ferrous fumarate 210mg and plan to take on each day until retest in 6 weeks. Does this sound good? Is it safe to start this on my own without talking to my doc? The pharmacist was a bit reluctant to sell

Advice would be hugely appreciated
Been feeling progressively worse for the last few years: extreme tiredness, lack of concentration, brain fog, getting words muddled, memory problems, feeling cold, headaches, joint stiffness and probably other things I've forgotten. I've had blood tests before but aside from iron tablets I've always

Ferritin levels and B12 recovery
I've been prescribed
ferrous
sulphate
to help raise my levels but my understanding is that iron levels raise slowly and gradually even on supplements. I'm struggling with extreme weakness, lightheadedness, faintness.

Posh magnesium vs Andrews Salts/Boots equivalent/Epsom Salts. Magnesium can be cheap & effective. So why the posh?
Is there a reason everyone taking magnesium is taking expensive versions of magnesium when you cd take Andrews Salts or Boots' equivalent? Andrews contains some citric acid (makes nice fizzy and being acidic should help with absorption of magnesium) and a little sugar (Mary Poppins effect). Looking at

Newbie needing help please!
I've started supplementing with 1,000 B12 & 200mg
ferrous
sulphate
, as well as Vit D & K plus a B vitamin complex. I'm going to ask for further testing in a couple of weeks (the 3 month mark), but should I stop supplementing to get the most accurate results or keep supplementing to help me improve?

Exercise and Pernicious Anaemia?
Hi, I've had a good trawl of the internet but cannot find anything on whether you can exercise with PA? I'm used to regular exercise and now haven't done anything since July and its starting to show! Also I normally need to exercise for my mental well being. Taking Ferrous Fumarate 200mg daily and

Teenybopper completed W1D1!! (Reposted since I posted in Bridge to 10k by mistake)
Last time my daughter snuck out early for her run to avoid me as she has always hated me to see her fail at anything. She didn't manage all the running but today we did it together and she did a great job. Her problem like for a lot of newbies was pacing, she speeds up within the running block. Anyhow
