Low ferritin and high transferrin saturation
So I started taking 1
ferrous
sulphate
tablet a day during the week and not at weekends. Jan 19 my ferritin had gone up to 26 (didn’t get the other levels tested) so I continued taking just 1 x
ferrous
sulphate
a day as ferritin is still at the lower end of acceptable, until now.

Withdrawal from ropinarole
I have been on ropinarole for 10 years starting at 1mg then moving on to 3mg daily. I think I started argumenting because I couldn't sleep any more. I started to wean myself of the ropinarole and got down to 1mg but couldn't go any less because the restless leg was driving me crazy. My doctor put me

Hello, I have recently got my blood & saliva test back. I cannot see my NEW Dr until Nov 14th. She did email me on blood work and said everything looked good except iron and wanted me to take an iron supplement. Before I went to her the first time in August 2019, I was dealing with severe fatigue, exercise

Another km towards the target
Hello you lovely running beings, I hope you all had a lovely weekend in the sun. We had visitors so spent a lot of it on the beach and swimming in the sea. I would have liked to have run yesterday under those dark clouds and in the cool, but optician’s appointment and other stuff stopped that. I’m

But it was the second target for my monthly quest, so it had to be done, and it gives me a 1k lead over cheekychipmunks until we do our virtual HM together next month :-) and I pack in this daft long distance stuff. HM training week8 day2 - tempo run
The watch has seems to have sorted itself out and has recorded everything correctly today, though I did notice it paused itself WHILE I was running! And not during zone 2, it was during zone 4 ... I will probably end up resetting it, but I want to see what Polar say IF they ever answer my email. Phoning

RLS in Pregnancy
Hi I am 28weeks pregnant and have restless legs and arms at night for about 6 weeks now. I am averaging 2-3 hours sleep, if that a night. So far I have been trying to treat at home with a combination of Epsom salts baths, massage, stretching, magnesium supplements and essential oils. Nothing seems to

MCV increasing / folate levels
Her ferritin was also low so is it just that low iron was masking the result to start with (been on
ferrous
sulphate
tablets for few mths). Can I also ask about folate. It was 4 when she was first diagnosed so started on 5mg folate, just had blood test b12>1500 ug/l and folate > 25ng/l.

Iron Tablets vs Liquid
Last ten months, I’ve been taking 2 x 65mg Ferrous Fumarate tablets daily for iron deficiency. There is improvement in results albeit it’s been gradual. Currently travelling and come across a liquid preparation, called FPur by Althea, elementary iron, 0.1ml = 2mg. Can anybody advise whether then,

New here with new tip that works for me
My partner is a medical bio-chemical scientist. For me, he makes a liquid form of magnesium and a spray that has something called DMSO in it - it takes the magnesium through my skin. I see that people here talk about taking magnesium by mouth but I've found this works better for me. I rub them on my

Why won't the NHS give me an iron infusion?
Problem is, I've taken 200mg x 3 /day of
ferrous
sulphate
previously for months and my ferritin only increased a bit (about 10 higher) and then it just dropped when I stopped taking the tablets. They give me diarrhea and they don't seem to work anyway.

Float Tank / Sensory Deprivation with CKD
Hi Everyone, I'm a 43 year old male with a GFR of 32 at last visit. My kidney disease is currently very well managed, my nephrologist is very happy with my blood work and blood pressure. I was interested in trying a Float Tank. I know this is not recommended for those of us with chronic kidney disease
