Should my Thyroxine be put down?
Hello all, I've just had my latest results and my doctor has lowered my Thyroxine from 100mg to 75mg. Does that seem right? I feel very unwell and I'm putting on weight despite suffering from severe nausea, so I am definitely not over-eating. I'm 49-year-old woman who was diagnosed with an underachieve

Am I Hypothyroid?
Hi, can anyone give me any feedback on the blood results I have received please? I am nearly 5 years into Surgical Menopause, Ovaries removed. More than likely I have Oestrogen Dominance which could be suppressing thyroid function as my Prolactin is currently very high (975miu/l) and soon to be investigated

Hi everyone. (and my mind goes blank on what to write...) I started exploring a possibly neurodivergent mind over a year ago and although I feel a bit more knowledgeable, I am no less lost. It's pretty unhelpful that traits of ADHD, Autism and HSP overlap but here I am. At this point I think I might

Shocked and confused about gallbladder result
I apologize for how long this may end up...I am confused and in absolute panic (I also have serious health anxiety): Over the past nearly two years, I've had an enlarged liver with fatty infiltration, jaundice, weight loss, etc...and my gallbladder has had stones and a adenoma which had not changed

Recovery after cholecystectomy
I had my gallbladder removed (keyhole surgery) a month ago. All went well but pain has been worse over the last week or so. I do suffer from chronic constipation which doesn't help, but operation sites, particularly navel, still very painful. Is this normal?

Women are not taken seriously by most doctors when experiencing health problems.
I went through a really rough time a couple of years after I had my first child when I was about 31 years old. I had never experienced PMT prior to the birth. I was lucky. However, I became aware of gradual fatigue, and anxiety, and hot flushes. I went to my GP to ask if I could be going through the

Anybody experienced this....
I went in for my hysterectomy yesterday. I have fibroids which are causing really bad flooding. I had a large one removed in January but now I have 5. I can't have an ablation and they tried to fit the coil and failed so a hysterectomy was offered and I took it. They put me under anaesthetic, went in

Tocilizumab
I am advised that a biosimilar to tocilizumab has been approved in the UK and will be available at a more economical price , enabling NICE to allow NHS prescriptions for GCA after the initial 12 months. My GP and Consultant keen to get me off Pred altogether ( currently on second attempt in 3 years)

Colonoscopy
Just have a question. I was put on a 5 Day taper of 16mg of prednisolone. I took my first dose today along with a one time dose of diflucan. Will I be ok to have my colonoscopy tomorrow?

Returning temporal headaches after stopping Tocilizumab, what to do ?
I will try to be brief. UK male aged 70 Diagnosed with GCA (ultra sound scan only) 2 years ago. Only minor symptoms experienced (mainly temporal headache). 65mg Prednisolone prescribed daily for 2 weeks, then to reduce by 5mg per month. A couple of "flares" (just headaches) in the following 12 months

Neutropenia whilst on Tocilizumab
Hi. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. Diagnosed with PMR and GCA Nov. 2021. For last 2 months I have been on weekly Tocilizumab injections; this followed a further flare up in December 2023 when the entire aorta was inflamed (I have never had cranial symptoms). I was certainly shocked
