Update on previous post but cannot find it 🙄
Update MRI shows no new stroke so going with a flare up of gca. Back up to 20 mg pred daily and feeling loads better. My consultant is going to start me on tocilizumab soon just waiting for appointment. Weird symptoms for a flare and she's still suspicious of tia but hey as she keeps telling me I'm

IBS after gallbladder removal
Are there any IBS sufferers on here who have also had their gallbladder removed due to gallstones? Have your IBS symptoms improved since surgery? I'm 9 weeks post op now. For a few weeks I was free of IBS symptoms and was hopeful that removing my gallbladder had been helpful. But lately all the bloating

Healing ridge after hernia repair
a week ago I had surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. In the past few days I’ve noticed that there is a hard swelling underneath the scar. Reading up online it sounds like it could be a “healing ridge”. Has anyone else encountered this and what does it feel like?

Post-hernia swelling
So, I’m a week after an inguinal hernia repair with mesh. They opened me up with a baseball bat according to the bruising. I still have a lot of swelling around the area, is this normal?

Tramadol Chloride
Hi, I had a hernia repair on Friday afternoon (NZ time) and was discharged yesterday. I wasn’t keeping track of how many Tramadol tablets I was taking and it looks like I have take 13 in the past 24 hours (2 at a time max). Is this too many. Can I just ride it out and wait for it to leave my system?

Recovery after polyp removal and D and C?
Hi everyone, just looking for some advice please. I had a hysteroscopy last Friday and D and C where they removed a polyp also under GA. A kyleena coil was inserted also. This was agreed in advance to help with very heavy and painful periods with a lot of midcycle pelvic pain. I was expecting a diagnosis

Biopsy results
I had my monthly treatments and i know my biopsy results. It tested positive for breast cancer in my axillary lymph node. I will be having radiation for 5 weeks every day because of soft tissue. The radiation doctor says it was caught in time where it is not large (1.7cm). I have changed treatments from

Monthly blood work today
Hi all, I read the posts and I am amazed at how much they help me. I am on Ibrance, Xgeva and Femara. Start a new cycle today. It’s been 8 months and I am still nervous going to see Oncologist. I’ve had one scan in April and so far good results (tumor markers down). I have bone Mets only, ribs, Iliac

Has anyone had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy due to PMDD after a thyroidectomy?, I really need to know how it went.
Hello, I am really tired of suffering for many years (I am 47 years old) of premenstrual dysphoric syndrome and I have noticed that it has worsened since I had my thyroidectomy, I am really desperate, I have no quality of life. My Gyno recommended surgery because I also have a cyst in each ovary. I

Inguinal Hernia Operation with AFIB
Hi All I had a date in August for a procedure for repair of an inguinal hernia. The hospital have put my operation on hold because of my AFI. They are too concerned about the risks involved in such an operation. On the other hand there is also a danger that my hernia might strangulate and I'd be an

Inflamed Gallbladder
Hi all - I know quite a few of you have had surgery to remove your gallbladder. I suffer from cholecystitis, which is chronic inflammation of the gallbladder. When I have a flare-up the pain is horrendous. I've been debating the pros and cons of surgery and, after a particularly painful attack last

Lupus and Fibromalgyia
Hi all I'm super new to this site. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and it's been downhill ever since. I'm now seeing a psychiatrist for my mental health and he suggested I go back to my rheumatologist and ask to be rechecked. He thinks I may have something else either Lupus or something else. I do contract
