There are a few pilot studies looking for other biologics for GCA. They all seem to be IL-6 inhibitors. Unlikely to be any cheaper or significantly better than tocilizumab...

Thanks M- looks as if they have trialed it in people with RA as well - and yes we must remain hopeful if as you say an effort is being made to improve treatments. X
