Really good on Saturday felt top of the world Sunday night violent sickness but thought was a present from grandchildren

Monday morning wife said you’re yellow again.

Looks like another stone lodged in bile duct causing an infection

This will delay again gallbladder removal again!

Thinking 5 or 6 days on ward again

Hi R1100S1. Sorry to hear that you're in hospital with a painful gall stone problem. I hope that they get you sorted and back home very soon. Pre transplant I used to get some pain problems that I was never actually sure whether the problem was from my gall bladder or my liver. I was told I had some sludge in the gall bladder. My gall bladder was removed along with my liver at transplant and I've not had that pain since so I will never know the real culprit for that particular pain. Hopefully you will get your gall bladder removed soon and be free of that particularly nasty problem. Best wishes. Alf

Hi

So sorry to read about your gall bladder set back, hopefully you'll back on track very quickly and the stone is dislodged soon!

Please keep us updated when your up to it and in the meantime rest as much as you can

Love Trish x

Next up is a scan and then the device down throat to attack the stone.

in reply toR1100S1

Just take that deep breath when they send the camera down again to break up the stone! Thinking of you as I feel like my consultant may re send the camera back down mine as it's a bit painfull right now and my gallbladder was removed in 2016 ! Hey ho on this front ....

Keep positive

Jaundice slowly going and infection seems under control so stent and antibiotics working. No sign of stone but consultant took biopsy as not happy with it all. That’s a few days of worries now !

Hey R1100S1, Sorry to hear you're doing poorly. I hope you pass the stone painlessly, have a swift recovery from the infection, and go on to get your gall bladder removed before too long. Take care. X

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Had MRI this morning and yes they have found another trapped large stone in bile duct.

ERCP to be done tomorrow (Friday)

Sepsis seems to be clearing up as came to A&E in time.

ERCP done stone seems to have moved on leaving trail of rubble & infection which after some tugging pulling and placement of metal stent things flowing nicely. However biopsy has to be taken so waiting results of that. Should be out early next week re sepsis and loosing yellow tint

Now to worry about results

Onwards and upwards

Hi

Release at 1909 :)

2 stones removed contrary to what I thought they said

Sepsis cleared and yellow skin starting to normalise

They have adjusted my AF and Blood Pressure medication and am on 2 oral antibiotics for another 7 days

I now await the results of a biopsy as the duct was in a bit of a state re puss, damage etc.

Fingers crossed that’s not to serious and they can sort it and the gallbladder out.

Thanks for the messages of support

X

Just out after another bout of biliary sepsis but wife spotted symptoms before I did. Stent worked so not yellow this time. Biopsy showed abnormal cells near (ampulla ?) which have to be investigated. I am now on after several day of intravenous antibiotics oral antibiotics for a week and have to go in as day patient for urgent endoscopic ultrasound. The results will then be discussed with other consultants and I will then have appointment with consultant for discussion on options (gulp 😳)

Only once that done can the pesky gallbladder be removed

Sorry for long message

X

Morning

Hope your feeling a bit more comfortable today. I had trouble with all that stuff back in 2004, it's hereditary in our family. I emphasis with what your going through it can be very painful and make you feel yuk! But hang in there remember you need to be well in yourself to go through the op to remove your gallbladder, so just rest up, it will happen for you.
