Ejection Fraction - Echo or MRI Cardio
Hello All I wonder if somebody here can help me to clarify an issue I have with my Echocardiogram & MRI Cardio/Cardiac tests I have had done to determine my ‘Ejection Fraction’? A few years ago in 2018 I had an Echocardiogram which showed I had an Ejection Fraction of 43% and left ventricular dysfunction

Rash after 1 week
I've had 3 stents fitted for a heart attack 7 days ago. I'm male, 57 years old and I've been taking aspirin, Ticagrelor, Atorvastatin, Ramipril and allopurinol for the last 7 days. In the shower today, I noticed a red rash all over my torso and arms. It doesn't itch. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks

RAMIPRIL 7.5mg
Does anyone that takes Ramipril experience swollen mouth tight throat and overproduction of mucus from back of nose running down back of throat? I was increased to 7.5 mg from 5mg two weeks ago and feel like I’m choking.

At last...
What a to do!... I have had nothing but problems with side effects from the medication after my HA in January...problems with mobility, breathlessness, cold hand and feet.. tiredness.. to name a few. I’m sure you have all probably had some if not all of these yourselves. Some side effects did subside

Amlodipine and breastfeeding
Hi all. My amlodipine dose has been upped from 5mg to 10mg as my blood pressure is unstable. I am breastfeeding and afraid to continue even if doctor says it's ok. Any one here experiencing this?

Has anyone had a Steroid injection whilst on anticoagulants for AF?
I have had AF for many years and currently taking Rivaroxaban, Nebivolol, Felodipine and Ranitidine. I have been suffering from Plantar Fascitis for several months and just can’t shake it off. It has now been suggested that I have an ultrasound guided steroid injection into my foot. Obviously, this can

Ramipril side-effects
I'm not a clinician, but I would have thought it unlikely that such a low dosage of Ramipril would cause serious or persistent headaches. I'm on 10mg per day (tried 5mg but that didn't alleviate my elevated blood pressure enough) Even if they are the trigger, the headaches would probably fade away

Ramipril & Covid-19
Someone sent an article from a newspaper yesterday that described certain ACE inhibitors and Ramipril was mentioned as they can make the symptoms of Covid-19 much worse. Do others subscribe to this or have anyone been told by their GP or hospital to stop taking Ramipril if they have Covid-19 or its symptoms

How can I take BP meds when my BP & heart rate are so extreme?
I'm now taking for anxiety, clonazepam, diazepam as required & most recently 150mg sertraline (Zoloft) The sertraline doc said was to lower my anxiety which he says is the reason for my erratic blood pressure, often high 160/110 but otherwise my norm is 140/90, but sometimes 100/70 and for several long

Reducing Blood Pressure the Old Fashioned Way
I am a 77 year old male and was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation in 2016. I have been on Warfarin for the AF ever since, without problems. My GP is concerned about my blood pressure and I have tried various medical remedies; Perindopril, Bisoprolol and recently Amlodipine. Each had undesired side

Ramipril Medication Change
Hiya - update on my meds and general health. I had been taking my usual 5mg Bisoprolol 2.5 Ramipril 25mg Spirolactone and keeping in NSR now since December 11th 2019 however, I developed a kind of masky film over my throat - always constantly trying to clear my throat after eating food. Cardiac nurse

People who take blood pressure tablets and catch covid19 have experienced severity and have low recovery results. Is Amlodipine in this Ace2 category ?
